Pam may be getting a love interest in True Blood

Posted by Lynnpd On October - 31 - 2009

True Blood Series creator Alan Ball recently told the Advocate magazine that he could imagine Eric’s tough ass sidekick, Pam, getting in on some girl-on-girl action.

And now Kristin Bauer, who plays Pam, tells EOnline she’s up for it…

I wouldn’t be surprised, Bauer said at Thursday night’s Bow Wow Beverly Hills benefit for the Amanda Foundation animal rescue. “I think she’s pansexual.”

In fact, Kristen Bauer already has a ladylove in mind: Ginger, the Fangtasia waitress played by Tara Buck.

“There are so many hot ones, but I’ll pick Ginger,” she said. “Ginger’s hot. Ginger’s fun. She’s a screamer and she’s a blood donor.”

Hopefully, Ginger will stick around longer on the HBO series than she does in the original Sookie Stackhouse novels that True Blood is based on.

I’ve been reading the books because I heard that Ginger died,” Buck said. “I was very upset and I needed to see if it happened. And in book four, it happens!”

The event will e held at the Sheraton Framingham Hotel so mark your calendars for this star studded event that only happens once in a year!

Take this chance to not only take home your own celebrity guest signings, but to also ask your favorite star about the question that has been brewing in your mind for years with the Q & A Sessions. As promised, this part of the East Coast will be filled with TV stars, like James Marsters (Spike from Buffy and Angel and Brainiac of Smallville); Ray Park (Edgar from Heroes, Snake Eyes of G.I. Joe, Toad of X-Men, and Darth Maul); and Brent Spiner (Data of Star Trek Next Generation).

Old school TV favorites will also be having a reunion, starting off with Bionic Woman’s Lindsay Wagner, Richard Anderson, and one from the show’s villains, Janice Whitby. Micky Dolenz and Peter Tork will follow up by and revive the Meet the Monkees, and even stay to give out autographs for fans to cherish.

Of course, the convention will be incomplete without the glitter and glamour of celebrity vixens! Charlaine Harris did not want to Kill Bill

Alan Ball and Charlaine Harris at the True Blood premiere

Alan Ball and Charlaine Harris at the True Blood premiere

At the Paley Center, True Blood: Inside the writers room, last Wednesday  Alan Ball responded to one of the most sent in questions for the panel: the fate of Bill. In the Sookie Stackhouse series by Charlaine Harris, the character of Bill Compton is reduced to an occasional guest appearance and many Bill/Stephen Moyer fans feared the same fate for him in True Blood.

Alan Ball eases the fans’ minds: “Stephen Moyer will not be marginalized. The characters of Bill and Sookie may go through some rough patches that may last longer than team Sookie/Bill might like but Bill and Sookie have a connection that will never die in the TV world. I know in the book world that Charlaine had to be talked out of killing Bill in the last book but I’m saying in our world Sookie and Bill have a connection that will not die.”

Alan’s remark about Charlaine Harris ‘killing Bill’ seems to confirm what many fans already thought, but the writer of the books voices a different opinion on her messageboard.

duckpond100 2009-10-29 18:31

I understand that Alan was commenting on the differences between the future of the series and the plot of the books at Paleyfest, and remarked that I’d been “talked out of” killing Bill. That’s leaving an inaccurate impression with many readers, my moderators have told me.

Unfortunately, in a conversation with Alan some months ago I did tell him that when I was finishing DEAD AND GONE I did consider the possibility that Bill might die in the fairy assault on the field hospital. I did not realize that Alan might remember and repeat my words. During the course of the Sookie series, I’ve considered killing off several characters who haven’t bitten the dust yet and may never. That’s one of the choices a fiction writer considers with every book. And you’ll notice that in the end, I decided that Bill had more story to tell.

So please don’t give Alan’s words any more weight than they’re due, or blow them out of proportion. It never occurred to me that he might repeat a casual remark of mine about a possibility that never came to pass.

Kristin Bauer posing as Pam for IFAW

Join True Blood actress Kristin Bauer at the Santa Monica LUSH Cosmetics store on Saturday, November 7 in support of the IFAW Tails for Whales campaign. LUSH is a generous supporter of IFAW’s marine mammal programs through its Charity Pot program.

Kristin asked The Vault to spread the word and she invites the True Blood fans to come and meet her at the Lush Store:

Kristin Bauer: “I’ve partnered with LUSH and IFAW. LUSH has created a cream for IFAW and is donating the proceeds to help save the whales from unnecessary deaths and extinction. I will be appearing at the LUSH store in Santa Monica on the third street promenade Nov 7th from 1pm -3pm and I’ll trade you a photo for a photo. Mine signed for yours making the Whale Tale! Let’s take a bite out of whaling!”

Whales face more threats today than at any other time in history. IFAW’s Tails for Whales campaign is a grassroots visual petition advocating for stronger policy and U.S. leadership in whale protection through photographs of Americans making a ‘whale tail’ with their hands. Kristin Bauer has been a tireless advocate for IFAW and protecting whales, and looks forward to meeting the supporters who make our work possible!

Sam Trammell comes home in Charleston

Posted by Shadaliza On October - 30 - 2009

Charleston is taking Halloween to a whole new level with its HallowEast celebration. Headlining the fun-filled weekend is a hometown boy turned TV superstar.

Sam Trammel grew up in Charleston, graduated from George Washington High School and his parents still live here, and even though he’s gone Hollywood in a major way, he is still happy to be home.

“It’s fun. It’s a lot of fun,” he said.

Trammel spent years successfully working on Broadway along with TV and movie roles, but it wasn’t until he signed on for HBO’s vampire themed smash hit True Blood that Trammell truly became a household name.

“People kind of went crazy over it, so it’s definitely changed my life a fair amount,” he said.

Trammell plays bar owner Sam Merlotte. But in the small Louisiana town where the show takes place, nothing is as it seems.

In the show he also plays a shape shifter who can transform from human to animal- a role that requires a lot of nudity and courage.

“The worse thing than seeing yourself naked is seeing yourself naked and running, there is no hiding what you’re body really is, there’s no hiding,” Trammell said.
Two seasons of true blood have created a massive fan base and Trammell will soon start work on number season three and a storyline that will include Sam finally meeting his biological parents.

“It’s not going to be a Norman Rockwell sort of thing. They’re probably going to be really sketchy, in-debt, scary people,” he said.

Good thing in real-life he is surrounded by a great family and a place he can always call home.

“People here are so nice, the nicest people in the country and I’m always so proud to say that I’m from West Virginia. It’s great,” Trammell said.

Trammell will be back in West Virginia later this week for “HallowEast,” a four day fundraiser for Charleston’s East End. He’ll headline an interview session Friday at 8 p.m. at the Kanawha Players location on Beauregard Street in Charleston.
