I am so thrilled that True Blood has been nominated, it is completely deserved. And, Anna did a wonderful job in both her role in True Blood and in The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler. This is just wonderful. I do wish some of the other cast had received a nod, but then next year might be the year for them. Congratulations to everyone involved in True Blood and to Anna!

  3. Congratulations to Anna, Jeff Most/Hallmark, True Blood and Michael Emerson on their nominations!

I thought the list of Nom’s was rather dull, predictable and boring. What happened to the HFPA? Are they becoming the EMMYS? They were always the hip, trendy, cutting edge newsmakers of the award season and I always looked forward to their announcement – but this year?? I thought I was watching the Oscar or EMMY announcements? BORING REPEAT NOM’s IMHO. What the heck happened? – did they go mainstream?

Looks like I will have to turn to the SPIKE Awards for cutting edge from now on…..

I was very disappointed that we did not see more of the cast of True Blood nominated.

I agree. I was absolutely thrilled to see TB and Anna nominated, but definitely other members of this amazing cast should have gotten nods as well.

Congratulations to True Blood, Anna for both TR and Irena Sendler, and to Michael Emerson for Lost. I wanted to see nods for some of the other TB cast members, but it was not to be. Maybe next year. Thanks, Lynn, for posting.

Congratulations to Anna and the entire cast and crew of True Blood!
They truly are an ensemble and without all of their hard work the show wouldn’t have been nominated. I do think Stephen Moyer should have been nominated for his role as Bill Compton – but will take him with Anna on the red carpet in consolation.

Congratulations to Anna for both noms and TB and all who work so hard to make it the great program it is. This genre is often snubbed at awards shows but I think TB will be the show that breaks that barrier.
I would have liked to have seen more of the cast get a nod but maybe next year will be their year.
I am looking forward to seeing them on the red carpet in Jan.

Of course, many heartfelt congrats to Anna for both her nominations, and to the show. But there are so many wonderful actors on True Blood, and Stephen Moyer definitely heads this list; hope the GGs wake up for Season 3 and give some more recognition. Very happy, though, to see Michael Emerson on the list for Lost.

I’m sure Mad Men is gonna win because it is the safe card, more of a wholesome concept, much more traditionally written. I’m not sure the awards are ready for the genial abstract circus that is TB. Would love for True Blood to win though, it really outclasses Mad Men. Kind of like a traditional, but witty drama “Lock Stock and Two Smoking Barrels” vs. something really weird, creative but intelligent like ” A Clockwork Orange”, if CO were more sympathetic like True Blood is and not as depressive. :)
But one have to get it, to get it. :)
