Oh, love it. I can just imagine my hubby’s face if he saw me wearing that.

The following just popped into my head and I had to share. I go way back agewise. When I saw the Graveyard sex slogan I immediately thought of the old Brylcreem (men’s hair care product) commercial … “A little dab will do ya.” So I thought of Graveyard sex in those terms as well … “A little dirt will do ya.” Oh yeah!!

Well done, BillsHuman, for the text.

Well I am really kind of torn by this. On 1 hand the slogan is funny and I chuckled. But at the same time I was shaking my head. SM has said in an interview that that scene was borderline rape. Also in the books Sookie was fearful for her life and turned his rage into desire to prevent Bill from killing her. Not trying to be a killjoy but I wonder what it says about women in this day and age that we could find that sexy.

Aw, well I found the shirt hilarious. I disagree with what Stephen said in that interview. If there was supposed to be any rage on Bill’s part, it did not show up in the scene. I have not read the books, so I only go by watching “True Blood”. In that scene we see Sookie go from despairing grief to ecstatic relief that Bill is okay and she throws herself into his arms. Steamy sex ensues. It appears to be consensual and loving, like all of Bill and Sookie’s sex scenes. If Bill was meant to show rage or force, it was poorly portrayed, but I don’t think that was in play here. I agree that there is nothing in the slightest bit sexy about rape or even the suggestion of it. The graveyard sex scene, however, depicted passionate lovemaking. That’s how I saw it, anyway.

Let’s leave the book out of this.
I think Stephen phrased it poorly in that interview. It was Sookie who started kissing Bill, she was totally into it. Remember what Anna said at Paley? She didn’t understand why people wondered where the dirt would end up and that it was hot, crazy sex.

I’m with you, Shadaliza. That was one of my favorite scenes so far. I think maybe Stephen was trying to convey the desperation they both felt when they saw each other. Very hot, but definitely not rape.

If that is considered rape…. sign me up for daily session….

lkc the only thing I can add is that the actual filming of the scene may have had something to do with SM’s comment because the actors spent hours and I mean long hours filming that scene in every angle over and over, which if you just look at it that way could have been perceived as rape or at least abuse, while we see only the edited 30 seconds of PURE HOT Bill & Sookie STEAMY SEX! (I need to go watch that scene right now, again!)
I still get such a thrill when he grabs her leg! & So true “A little dirt never hurt”!

Not being explicit, they are were so into each others. When he goes for her throat, she says, “Not the neck.” So he bites….
In the same episode 8 season1 “The Fourth Man in the Fire” they end up in bed together cuddling after they graveyard scene having the following conversation:
Sookie Stackhouse: [after they have made love] Doesn’t it get old for you? I mean you’ve been doing it for over a hundred years. Doesn’t it get predictable?
Bill Compton: Not with you it doesn’t. You’re entirely different. And the beauty and the tragedy of it is that you don’t know just how different you are.
Sookie Stackhouse: Please tell me if I’m doing something wrong.
Bill Compton: There’s nothing more natural than the act of making love. Who am I to try to change what comes naturally to you.
Sookie Stackhouse: But if you could change something…
    Bill Compton: I wouldn’t change a thing.
Sookie Stackhouse: [pauses] What’s it like to sleep in the ground?
Bill Compton: Well, it’s not exactly comfortable. But it is safe. Which if I recall is what the three voicemails required of me that night.
    Then they cuddle and kiss
This prove that gravehard scene was not a R..E

I love the shirt If think it’s original and funny.
