Episode 2 of the season continued laying the ground work for this season. Something we enjoy about True Blood are all the great quotes that come from our favorite characters, so each week we pull out those quotes that we think are the best.
In this episode, Jason had the best line, without a doubt, it was:
Jason: That’s getting to eat the pie without having to pay for the cow.
I just love what we like to call ”Jasonism’s,” when he gets well known sayings all mixed up, as he did here. However, most of the best lines in this episode, were made by either Dieter or Roman.
Below is our top quotes from episode 5.02:
Jason: That’s getting to eat the pie without having to pay for the cow.
Steve Newlin: I still talk to God every night. I talked to him this evening as a matter of fact, and I’m here to tell you, Jesus Loves Vampires.
Steve Newlin: I’ve just realized that I’ve found God’s true light in the darkness.

Roman: We swear fealty to the Blood and the Progenitor. The First, The Last, the Eternal, Lord and Lilith, Father and Mother, protect us as we protect you, from this day until the hour of true death…And in Lord and Lilith’s name we say…Vampyr.
Jason’s pie and cow was hilarious. When I first heard it I thought “what did you just say?!” I had to listen to it again to fully appreciate it :)
I also like the remark of Jessica to Steve: Have you seen Jason’s butt? It’s rock hard. You could chip a fang on it

I, too, had to listen to Jason’s pie-cow line a couple of times, before what he was attempting to say sank in.
One of my favorites was Andy’s line to Jason about Holly. Andy was escorting the boy who blamed Jason for his parents’ breakup out of the sheriff’s office. I don’t have the exact words but Andy turned to Jason and said “You touch Holly, and I’ll throw your ass in jail.”
Jessica commenting to Steve about his boner fangs and real boner was another fun line. Again, I don’t have the exact wording.
Roman’s quoting Nan’s “pet” names for Bill and Eric … “Fuck up 1 and Fuck up 2.”

Good quotes all of them Rowena, but I try to limit the quotes to 10 or less and often the good quotes are in response to something and without the original statement they make no sense. However, you are right, Fuck up 1 and fuck up 2 was great!

I also loved Eric’s response to Salome’s question “It’s fun being a vampire, isn’t it?” Eric: “Generally, yes. Right now…not so much.”

IAmtrue2bill – I loved that response too, but it didn’t qualify because Eric’s response on it’s own didn’t meete our criteria.
