If you watch Person Of Interest you surely had a True Blood surprise the other night when Carrie Preston opened the door to Mr. Reese. Carrie made a surprise guest appearance as Finch’s ex fiancee in the episode “No Good Deed”. In real life she is married to Michael Emerson who plays Finch. It’s not the first time husband and wife appear in the same show. In LOST Carrie played Michael’s mother.
For Person of Interest, she was excited to play someone who provides insight into Finch’s very private life. “He clearly sacrificed his own heart in order to protect her, which is very tragic and also extremely romantic,” she says. “We certainly have more empathy for him now.”
Carrie won’t appear in the season finale, though it’s likely that she’ll return next season. Says creator/executive producer Jonathan Nolan, “We would be thrilled to have Carrie back.”

I am a big fan of Person of Interest. I saw Carrie’s name listed in the opening credits and got excited that she was appearing in the episode. I kept waiting for her to show up. Finally, near the end of the hour she appeared. I loved learning the part she played in Finch’s life and how he sacrificed to keep her safe. Looking forward to her return next season.
