Carrie Preston’s film “A Bag of Hammers” to be shown at SXSW Film Festival

Carrie Preston’s film, “A Bag of Hammers”, will be shown at the SXSW Film Festival. The screening will take place Saturday March 12, 2011 1:45pm at The Paramount Theatre, 713 Congress Ave. in Austin, Texas.

The film is an offbeat comedy about two misfit best friends incapable of growing up, whose direction is tested by an abandoned child, worn beyond his years; together they invent the family they’ve always needed. The cast includes Jason Ritter, Jake Sandvig, Chandler Canterbury, Rebecca Hall, Carrie Preston, Todd Louiso, Gabriel Macht, Johnny Simmons

One thing makes this comedy about a couple of grifter slackers seem especially appealing, in addition to Carrie Preston’s inclusion, is that it stars Jason Ritter and Jake Sandvig, two likable and funny actors. Jake Sandvig co-wrote the film with its director, UCLA grad Brian Crano who also produced it along with Peter Friedlander, Lucy Barzun Donnelly, and Jennifer Barrons.

Offbeat and kind of crazy. I enjoyed the trailer. I let it buffer out and that avoided all the skips. Takes no time at all to do this. Congratulations to Carrie & Co on the film festival screening.

I agree and further proof that Carrie does look beter and more natural with blonde hair. I know I’m in the minority but just sayin’.
