Terrific article ! I felt like I was listening to AB in person. His spoilers are hilarious. The actress who plays Maxine Fortenberry(sp?) is so good, but I wonder if she will bite the dust in season 3. Or maybe Tara’s mother. I am looking forward to flashback history of the Bellefleurs. (I hope.) I haven’t read the books, so everything’s a surprise.

DeemeK – thank you for the meticulous reporting on the Virginia event. Really enjoyable to read — I too loved hearing about the subtext between Bill and Eric in the hotel bar — so much fun! Interesting that Anna Camp was second choice for Sookie — don’t often get this type of info from the creative heads of a project. But Anna Paquin has defined Sookie so indelibly, it IS hard to imagine anybody else in the role. In fact, all the actors are so brilliant, it’s hard to imagine anybody else in most of the roles. Well, there is one unfortunate exception to that, of the queenly variety. But can’t wait for season 3 to explode.

I wonder who is going to die. Believe it or not I’m hoping that it isn’t Hoyt’s mom. She’s hateful, but alot of fun to watch and hate. Everyone knows someone like her. Especially if you come from the Bible belt. She’s the lady that is on the front pew everytime the Church doors are open and she’s not there for spiritual enlightenment. She’s there to gossip. If you want to know who the town tramp is, go ask her and she’ll be glad to tell you. I just think they could have too much fun with her character.

great article! i really felt connected. this was great stuff, each actor characterized by alan made me feel back in the saddle, expecting to watch tv on sunday. eric and bill – would like to dive in the middle of that desert! i am curious about barry. i would like to have him back in the mix of storyline, he was cast perfectly. would like him to be a little evil. (taken by the bad guys) the song totally made me feel as if i were in the woods, about to take my clothes off to go running!

thanks deemek!!! i love anna camp as sarah newlin, but i could not picture her as sookie. they definitely casted perfectly in the end by going with anna paquin. i love the conversation alan makes up between bill and eric. comic gold. even though i am hardcore team bill, i think there is a chance that in the end sookie will end up with sam. is alan throwing us a hint saying he is team sam???
