True Blood actor Jim Parrack (Hoyt Fortenberry) is currently filming “Battle: Los Angeles” in the Shreveport area. The final exterior shots included the detonation of a vacated gas station. The special effects team produced a 100-foot high fire ball at the corner of Linwood and Texas avenues in Shreveport. The science fiction movie tells the story of a marine platoon fighting off an alien invasion in a post-apocalyptic Santa Monica.

The Columbia Pictures project began filming in Shreveport and Bossier City on Sept. 9 and has been locations throughout the cities. The production has now moved on to a Baton Rouge soundstage to finish the rest of its filming.

Alexander Skarsgård has concluded his Shreveport adventure. “Straw Dogs” has officially wrapped up. At the wrap party last night a 10 minute reel of the movie was shown to the cast and crew.

    I loved that Alex and Jim hung out while they were in shreveport. I saw pic of Jim at the wrap party. Glad they are friends. :)
