As reported on Skarsgardnews.com the premiere of 13 has been cancelled.
The world premiere of Gela Babluani’s “13″, starring Alexander Skarsgård, was supposed to have it’s world premiere at the SXSW film festival in Austen, Texas as part of the SX Fantastic midnight section of the program. So, for those who had plans to attend the Premiere or are just curious about the cancellation, they have confirmed that it was pulled because of editing. The filmmaker had a new cut.
This film is a remake of the foreign film “13 Txameti” which came out in 2005. The story is of a naive young man who assumes a dead man’s identity and finds himself embroiled in an underground world of power, violence, and chance where men gamble behind closed doors on the lives of other men. Alexander Skarsgård plays the part of Jack in the film. Other cast members include Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, Emmanuelle Chriqui, Ray Winstone, Natasha Lyonne, and 50 Cent.
