Here we go again with a new list of best and worst dressed from the latest award show, the Screen Actors Guild Awards.
On this list, it’s nice to see that both Anna Paquin and Deborah Ann Woll were chosen for Red Carpet Fashion awards. Here are photos comparing the dress that each wore next to a fashion model photo identifying the designer. Below the photo is a description of what the Red Carpet Fashion web site had to say about their look for the night.
Anna Paquin in Alexander McQueen – Most Surprising Award
I never expected to see the Alexander McQueen Spring 2010 collection much on the red carpet, let alone a major event like the SAG Awards, but it was a pleasant surprise. I can imagine Joan Rivers slating this dress on E! Fashion Police next week, but she would never ‘get’ this look. I personally can’t get enough of her sexy reptile print mini which she pairs with black and gold trimmed strappy sandals. Anna’s become the dark horse of awards season. I’ve spent my time looking out for Carey Mulligan, when it Anna who’s making all the waves.
Deborah Ann Woll in Gustavo Cadile – Oh So Pretty Award
“True Blood” Deborah Ann Woll looked really pretty wearing a Gustavo Cadile Resort 2010 pale blue lace and chiffon tiered gown. Had the colour been any lighter it may have washed her out, but I think she does well at her first major red carpet event. Her eye make-up complemented her stunning gown, as did her blue Swarovski crystal Kiosque clutch. Deborah is here with her boyfriend, E.J. Scott.
I think Anna looks better than the model in that dress. Both girls looked awesome!!!

Now that I really looked at it, that must be a CGI model–although there are some stick-thin models out there. In any case, Anna still looks so healthy, glowing. I’m sure being in love with that gorgeous hunk of a man helps.

Congratulations to both Anna and Deborah Ann. Both looked amazing. I so agree with the comparison between the model and Anna. Actually, there is no valid comparison. Anna wins that one hands down.

Anna last week and this week just looked perfect, I don’t know which look I like better….. this one because I like her hair it is a 10+.
I’m so happy Deborah Ann got the well deserved red carpet recognition, beautiful dress, and such a sweet couple, glad E.J. was there with Deborah Ann.

While I thought Deborah’s dress was certainly a pretty one and she wore it well, somehow it didn’t photograph too well and came across as a wee bit Little Bo Peep. The bodice was nice, but the skirt was overdone for my tastes with the “ruffles on top of ruffles” theme.
Deborah has a killer body and it wouldn’t hurt for her to flaunt it with something body-skimming and low cut either in the front or the back. Just my opinion.
