Anna Paquin’s latest movie The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler, a “Hallmark Hall of Fame” presentation is to be broadcast on Sunday, April 19 (9:00-11:00 PM, ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.
The Courageous Heart of Irena Sendler recounts the inspiring true story of the brave woman who helped save the lives of 2,500 Jewish babies and young children in the Warsaw Ghetto during World War II.
Anna Paquin plays the title role; Academy Award winner, Marcia Gay Harden (Pollock, In From the Night), plays her mother, Janina. Goran Visnjic (ER) is Stefan, a friend from Irena’s university days who helps Irena and her underground network map out strategies and routes to smuggle the children out of the ghetto.

Great videos! I think Anna seems to be doing a great job in this film about a courageous woman. It should truly show her acting skills and I hope make others recognize her talent. I can’t wait to see the film on April 19!

I wish they did the movie in Warsaw (my city). On the other hand I understand them. Over 90% of Warsaw was destroyed and it was rebuilt. You can find the photos on the Internet.
I think it will be a great movie. I hope it shows the real history (cause seriously many films about World War 2 lies) and will come to Poland. Looking at Irena Sendler’s life makes me proud.

I had looked forward to seeing this movie ever since I had first seen advertisements about it. However; we had bad weather and the movie was interrupted. Now, the new time to see it is Thursday Morning at 2:40 – 3:10. I can not tape this because I don’t have that kind of equipment. For a movie about such an important part of our history, there should be a more convenient time for it to air.
This is one of the best Hallmark has presented in sometime. Please show this movie again and in it’s entirety. The actors made this seen like we were there with them. They were wonderful!!!!
