I think his beauty stems from within BBB – He seems to be very interested and involved with the environment/wildlife issues. I was heartbroken when I went to his charity’s website to see/read what goes on with marine life. I concentrated on human life so much in my own charity work ( let’s not mention that here please ) that I have turned a deaf ear to animal and marine welfare and rights. More can be done.

Sam Trammel is surely one of True Blood’s best treasures. He portrays his character with such detail and sensitivity, is it any wonder that Sam Merlotte is the touchpoint, the central player, for pretty much all the storylines?

Thanks for the great write-up Sterling!! I agree with the posters who say that it sounds like you’ve been glamoured by the shifter!! Who knew?
But he is a terrific actor, smart, handsome, and one more exceptional asset to the show. Would love to see him doing some theater in NYC. In fact, would be great to see a True Blood stage-acting company! It seems like the Babes were very well represented in Florida. Babes rule!

Who couldn’t love Sam? Great write up Sterling. Obviously Sam used his puppy dog wiles on you. :) He is a pretty pup and I’d be tempted to rub his belly and scratch behind his ears. It sounds like Sam will have plenty of screen time in S3. I can not imagine anyone else as Sam Merlotte.

Sterling, great recap of the weekend, you really made me feel like I was there again. All your kudos for Sam are well deserved and I as you, I wish him the best for his future.

I was there with the Billsbabes and yes, that is MY shirt in the photograph above, how cool is that? Eyecon actually afforded you lots of “time” with the actors so by the end of the weekend I think everyone knew each other on a first name basis! Like you’d be walking down the hall and oh, there is Sam or there is Ashley and eyes would meet, recognition would spark and smiles would appear! Very cool! They were all so personable and down to earth folks lucky enough to be doing what they love, and it showed.

Sam seems like a really down to earth and personable guy. I agree with you in that I hope they give him more air time in season 3. Love the new tee shirt!

Thanks for the report, it sounds like Sam T is a great guy for sure.
I’m fond of his character in the show, but I disagree that he was on the back burner. He was all over season 2 – it just wasn’t a very happy time for him, save that day and a half with Daphne.
