Stephen MoyerStephen Moyer will play the part of John Guidi, in Matthew Parkhill’s ‘The Caller’, opposite Brittany Murphy. Also in the cast are Luis Guzman and Lorna Raver (Drag Me To Hell). Director Matthew Parkhill tells The Vault that he is looking forward to working with Stephen: “In part because he’s a fabulous actor, but also because we’re both Brits and both come from Essex.”

Shooting will start this Friday in Puerto Rico.

‘The Caller’ is a thriller and tells the story of a troubled divorcee, Mary Kee, who begins to receive mysterious phone calls from an unknown caller and she quickly begins to feel haunted in her own home. When she discovers that the person is calling from the past, Mary realises that she will have to kill her in order to survive but how do you kill someone living in the past and what will happen if she fails.

He has been “kidnapped” so we probably won’t see much of him in the first several episodes of Season Three.

Cocoa, did you see “The Dead Girl”? It’s the last thing I’ve seen Brittany Murphy in, and she was great! Such a sad, sad movie.

Over the years I have become aware of the acting talent outside of the USA and started to prefer foreign films and indie films because the actors seem to be much more believable in their roles. Here is just one more example of a brilliant actor from across the pond. Thank you, Stephen, for making True Blood’s “Bill Compton” a believable and interesting character.

Is it possible this is mostly because it’s the very best foreign actors and foreign films that make it to other countries so we are seeing some actors and films that have already been vetted and critiqued in their home country?

I tend to think well-trained actors from all countries are usually the ones who put out the best work. We have them here, too, it’s just that we’re usually sampling from a pool which includes both vetted and un-vetted work and actors. ….Just sayin’.

I just love Brittany Murphy and I hope the two of them have some scenes together. This is exciting. I’m glad TB is working around Steve doing some films. This is all very good for him and he’s going to be in high demand now that people in the industry are becoming aware of him.

I wonder what happened to Stephen doing the ‘Master Class’ film with Faye Dunaway? I had heard a rumor in the Detroit acting community that the production was postponed, something about Dunaway not paying people involved? That would explain how he could fit in this film in Central America.

What a lucky girl she is to play opposite Stephen! I remember Brittany from her earlier days of acting. “Clueless” was the first movie I saw her star in opposite Alicia Silverstone. I wonder if Anna will visit him after she finishes her movie here on Long Island. I’m wondering also why he did not go to Detroit to film ‘Master Class’.
