Kiwijk, I don’t think this is that recent, notice his hair. It’s definitely for True Blood S2, but may have been done in LA or elsewhere for NZ Prime TV.

Thanks so much for posting this vid! I’d never seen it, and it’s so great to hear Stephen talk about the show – you can tell how passionate he is. I think this was just before Comic Con when they did that press thing (though he’s dressed differently). His hair looked like that, and the sideburns are already gone.

Always a pleasure to see and hear Stephen. Yes, I noticed the dark hair and wondered about the time frame. Sad to say, buffering issues did me in. I saw about 2/3rds of the video, and that’s all she wrote. I’ll try again.

Rowena, I found that if you start the video then pause it and do something else for 10-15 minutes, it finishes loading and is easier to watch. It’s worth the wait!

Loved it of course. Thanks Lynn for posting it as presently we are in a Stephen/ Bill drought. Of course it feels like that if a day or two goes by without news. lol Stephen totally gets Bill and that is in part why he portrays him so brilliantly. He views Bill as we do with I think the exception that we see Bill as so freakin hot. I loved that he thinks it is important to remember Bill is a vampire and he kills. :) We haven’t forgotten. We like it when Bill unleashes the beast within. Love his duality. He is the most complex character CH has created.

Another lovely Stephen interview!! What a gorgeous, sexy man he is! I could look at him and listen to him talk for hours on end. I’d never get anything done, but who cares?
I know my post was totally shallow, but what can I say? He has that effect on me. Beautiful, beautiful man. Love him!!

I can never get tired of hearing Stephen talking about Bill. He just has such a handle on who Bill really is, and I love that. It makes his portrayal of Bill that much more nuanced.

This was a great interview. Better questions lead to better answers. A nice contrast to the funnier, quirkier interviews he did in the UK. Love both. Love listening to him and watching him express himself. Gorgeous face, the animated version of that incredible poster picture.

I’m away from home for a couple of weeks and don’t have as much computer time, but saw this interview on my Facebook page and had to watch. Wow. I confess (as I have before, but I’m kind of a neophyte poster here, so essentially a stranger) that I’m madly in love with the fictional Bill Compton, so to see the beautiful and charming Stephen Moyer talk about Bill–and how expertly he interprets him into being–is like a cold glass of ice water to a desert hiker. Thanks so much for finding and posting this. The Vault is awesome, I miss it!

During the Stephen drought… there an old tv/drama (1998) Called Highlander_The Raven. Stephen is in episode 18 entitled “Thick as Thieves.” He’s a good looking man even then, and he plays an immortal!

Thanks for finding and linking this , I would never have seen it otherwise. I love hearing Stephen talk about Bill and I love it when he gets to speak at length rather than the short clippy interviews we often get to see of him.
And to the other poster who mentioned this, I love his hands too! I love how he uses them when he speaks, it must kill him keeping them still when he’s playing bill. LOL!

When Stephen siad Bill could bring Sookie back to life; I wonder if that what happen in season1 episode 12, when Rene attacted her. I think it’s way better than lavitating or running fast.

Yes, she seems dead in that scene as well. In episode 12 when he was buning in the sun and called her name,she got up pretty quickly. I thought she she died and he woke her up as well then.

I have now been able to see True Blood in the Netherlands can’t say I am in love with it though but can understand why a lot of people enjoy watching it.All that sex and nudity would always capture a lot of attention.

We’re … most of us here on the Vault, because of Stephen Moyer. It’s not just the sex and nudity (though that certainly doesn’t hurt … if it’s done right). It’s the allure of this actor and the romantic rollercoaster ride involving his character and Sookie.
He’s delish in this, and every interview. Always enthusiastic about the show and Bill.

Really loved this interview. Stephen so ‘gets’ Bill and brings him to ‘life’ so beautifully. I was so happy that Stephen wanted Bill to be able to levitate; so did I. Don’t worry Stephen, Bill still has plenty mojo, thanks to you.

So enjoyable ! He is a great interviewee(one who is interviewed?). He answers the question in an interesting and entertaining way, and he is never ego-driven. He talks about the series, the other actors, the scripts, and AB, never just himself.
As I have said before, his hands are remarkable. The opening scene of S2,EP6, the panning shot of Bill’s hand on Sookie’s hip while they nuzzle in bed – WOW! One of my favorites.
