Such a relief to watch the stunnigly beautiful, intelligent, and witty Mr. Moyer, after having to sit through the mess that came before. He’s so at ease in every situation. Thanks for posting to good part of the Tonight Show…I’ll be watching it a few times.
I agree Dorthea; Stephan is a natural guest star. He is brilliant, and funny, and lovable. He seems so genuine ~ I really would love to see him and Anna together talking about themselves and their real life romance. Lord, I’m getting sappy!!
Stephen was very entertaining. Did you notice his interest in that pole used by the performance artists?
I wonder if he and Anna have a finished basement…
He was so cute and funny! He literally masters every interview he does–the camera loves him! I’m glad Conan didn’t ask him a lot of the same questions and Anna was not even mentioned. I just wish he would have had more air time!
Okay, back with more time to comment. I loved that he did “the accent,” and the audience reaction to it was great! And his description of his daughter’s American accent was so funny. He’s just a natural in this type of setting, that’s for sure.
LISM, he was definitely worth sitting through the Bruno schtick! And stephenlovesanna, I noticed his interest in the pole. I thought to myself “Anna has a present coming her way!”
I did, I’ll send it to ya when I get the chance to upload it. It wasn’t a big thing, you just see him mingling with the Cirque people at the very end of the show.
Always a treat to see and hear Stephen. I suffered through the earlier part of “Tonight,” just waiting for him. And he was so worth it. Thanks, Shad, for getting this up so quickly for us.
Re: Bruno. Maybe not one of Sacha’s better impersonations, but hey — to each his own, baby!
Anyhoo — Stephen his delightful and adorable self — and at the end, he did seem to enjoy hugging the Cirque de Soleil acrobat, as well as eyeing the pole!
Wonder if he’s planning on having his daughter live with him here permanently??
he also said that his son was “over the moon” because his character is called Bill (his son name is Billy). And that while filming the *grilled Bill* the boy barely acknowledged his disfigured face and wanted a puppy.
I really was a little peturbed that Stephan wasn’t given as much time or more time as the other guest, who was disgusting. Stephan brought class and his wonderful personality to Conan’s show. I’m thinking NBC/Conan will be receiving some very negative feedback.
i think sacha thought he had to up his performance alot. he knew we didn’t give a flying about him. thats why he showed us his gross g-string. ughhhh. conan, you can do better than that. thanks for hiding him away from our man. sacha toucheth, we killeth.
Thanks for uploading this, he really seems to enjoying himself. Loved the technical part about the accents morphing from Southern England to the Southern US. Also he looks a lot younger out of his Bill makeup, do you think they’ve deliberately aged Vamp Bill for effect? Or perhaps it’s the lighting.
Most enjoyable. So engaging and bright. Since Conan’s wife is such fan maybe we will see a return visit. Oh what it does to me when Bill’s voice emerges. :) Obviously, at least for now, Stephen is the chosen one to be the face of Trueblood as I have not seen any other cast members making the rounds of national chat shows. Excellent choice Mr Ball.
What is is about the gentlemen across the pond? It’s difficult not to fancy them. And LOL to SM’s comment alluding Dick van Dyke’s atrocious English accent. I’ve heard the same comment from Hugh Laurie (who I think is extremely talented. Love him in the BlackAdder series)too. Now if I can get Richard Armitage to fly over here, my catalog of fine Englishmen residing in the US of A would be complete. Love SM…love everyone in the show. It doesn’t matter what alliance you belong to (be it with Mr. Northman or Mr. Compton), True Blood is the best Vampire series up to date (forgive me Buffy fans).
sm is just such a wonderfully entertaining man. besides being scruptious with a scorching sensuality, he could act in any show and it would have way more depth. how people did not come charging after him after he acted with debra messing had me thinking a lot of people simply were not paying attention. on conan, when he talked about being on the beach and not able to go out, i immediately scanned back into my mind him on the beach having at it with debra with those gorgeous baby blues and had the vapors.
What a good interview this was. Stephen showed his intelligence in how he’s easily able to create an interesting and witty answer to any question. It kind of made me think he possesses a natural story-telling ability, which is a highly-prized talent for anyone who wants to work behind the camera, perhaps writing or directing or both. …As much as I enjoy Stephen’s acting, I’d really like to see him direct the making of a movie or TV series. I believe he possesses the necessary qualities and probably the right skill-set too.
For everything noted above, still say he should host his own talk show – SM would be amazingly good, and a breath of fresh air.
Also, re the atrocious English accent (noted by BBB above) sported by the otherwise non-atrocious funnyman Dick Van Dyke — it’s kind of a running joke in England — everybody references it as sort of the worst English accent ever done by an American actor. And you know what — they’re right! But many others have done a lot better job of it (viz Renee Zellweger in Bridget Jones’s Diary!)
Hey our Stephen could do a master class in accents — he’s very proficient in so many ways!
He was adorable! Thanks, shad.

Now both Robert Pattinson AND Danny DeVito are going to come after him. Yipes! And Lou, I would sit through a George W. speech to see him.

I LOVE when he do different accents. And the thing with his daughter was very cute
“Now both Robert Pattinson AND Danny DeVito are going to come after him.”
He actually complimented Danny saying that people would find him sexy as a vampire. Aww, that was nice even though it’s so not true, LOL!
