True Blood Season 4 is currently playing on the FX channel in the United Kingdom and below is a promo video about their programs.
In the video, Stephen Moyer is one of the stars interviewed. He talks specifically about the quality of programming that you see on TV today. He says, “you watch what should be a cinematic in your front room and it’s amazing.”
Thanks to AphroditeMF for the video.

could someone list the other shows besides true blood that are shown in the example?

I don’t know about the FX channel in the UK … but for me here in the US I can’t remember a time when I’ve watched so much outstanding television as I’m watching these days. From True Blood to American Horror Story and The Killing to Downton Abbey, I am unbelievably hooked. And loving every minute of it.
Well said, Stephen!

FX is a cable channel in the UK mainly shows imports of American shows, sometimes Australian shows too.

Thanks for clarifying, Aphrodite. I did not know that the UK FX showed mostly American and some Australian shows.
Thank you for providing the video.

Too true! Premium and basic cable is killing it quality-wise. If only network TV could catch up we’d never have to go to the movies again.
Love the scruff on Stephen. Yum.

So great to see and hear Stephen! Yes, cable is changing TV exponentially – and HBO started the ball rolling!

Its like a breath of fresh air seeing and hearing Stephen, and sexy cute with that scruff. He’s well spoken and its a pleasure seeing the leading men in some of these shows speaking out. Stephen, Andrew and Noah, all lovely gents.
Television in general has come a long way in a relatively short time, and cable has had a big hand in that. I’m all for it.

What you said is so true, Stephen. It must be exciting to be a part of this ground-breaking era in television…in the US and the UK.
