Stephen Moyer is putting on his racing gear again, but this time it’s for the US version of the TV show, “Top Gear.”
The History Channel is set to premiere new episodes of the U.S. version of Top Gear on Tuesday, February 14, at 9pm ET/PT.
Top Gear is hosted by champion race car driver Tanner Foust, racing analyst Rutledge Wood and comedian Adam Ferrara.
Talent set to appear on Top Gear for the “Big Star Small Car” segments includes: Ed Burns, Lake Bell, John huertas, Joe Montegna, Stephen Moyer, Kal Penn and Patrick Warburton. We don’t yet know in which episode Stephen will appear, but we’ll keep you posted.
In eight new episodes, Tanner, Adam and Rutledge take things to a new, thrilling and customarily ridiculous level. Featuring super-cars, extreme stunts and challenges, car reviews and celebrity interviews Top Gear is the home for anyone with a love of cars. The U.S. version is chock-full of high-adrenaline action entertainment as it tracks the colorful history of the automobile as well as the eccentric adventures of its hosts with Top Gear’s customary wit and humor. The series harkens back to HISTORY’s very first day, and the network’s very first program ever to air, Automobiles: Corvette.
Top Gear is a produced by BBC Worldwide Productions and is co-production between HISTORY and BBC Worldwide. John Hesling is Executive Producer. Executive producer for HISTORY is Russ McCarroll.

I don’t get it? Stephen’s from the UK, why not appear on the original UK version of the show?

Because he lives and works in Los Angeles and that is where this is filmed.

I can understand that. Although stars do travel a lot making appearances here and there. Just as an example Matt LaBlanc and Will.I.Am were just recently on the UK version of the show. Maybe one day he’ll get a chance to appear on there as well.

I’m sure Stephen is in 7th heaven, being on a car show, he loves racing so. I’m looking forward to seeing him on this!

Yes, and Stephen does travel to London often. I’m sure it was about scheduling; his life revolves around schedules.

@Edward – The “Star in a reasonably priced car” segments of Top Gear af filmed week-by-week, in front of a studio audience. They always seem to be shot in the same part of the year that Stephen is in the US shooting True Blood. I’ve been hoping that he’d be on the UK Top Gear for years, it’s one of my favourite shows, but I guess we’ll have to settle for the US version! It’ll still be great to see him, and I reckon he’ll top the leaderboard!

Doesnt matter whether Stephen does the show in the UK or US. He will be a pleasure to watch.
