True Blood’s Alexander Skarsgård is seen at the left in a Hickey Freeman portrait, which will appear in the April 2011 issue of GQ magazine.

Another Hickey Freeman pic of Alex can be seen on a huge billboard at the corner of Sunset Boulevard and Queens in West Hollywood,California. Back in February, I drove to the spot to get some nice photos of it, of which two, can be seen below.  The photo on the billboard below was originally seen in a December issue of the Wall Street Journal.

You can tell how large the billboard is by noticing the person walking on the sidewalk below it in the first photo. Click on the images for a larger view.

This time it’s Alex’s chair back from the production of Straw Dogs. Alexander signed the director’s chair back on October 2, 2010 in Stockholm, Sweden. Below are two photos, one of Alex holding the chair back when he signed it and the other of him on set sitting in the chair and leaning on the back.

Alexander Skarsgård’s new film Melancholia has been picked up for distribution in North America. The Wagner/Cuban Company’s Magnolia Pictures has announced that they have pre-bought North American rights to Melancholia, the eagerly awaited new film from legendary filmmaker and provocateur Lars Von Trier. According to Cineuropa, the film will show at the 64th Cannes Film Festival (May 11-22, 2011).

Boasting a stellar ensemble cast, including Kirsten Dunst, Charlotte Gainsbourg, Kiefer Sutherland, Charlotte Rampling, John Hurt, Alexander Skarsgård, Stellan Skarsgard and Udo Kier, the film will be completed later this spring and is among the most highly anticipated films of 2011.
