True Blood’s King Russell Edgington, Denis O’Hare was recently interviewed by Boy Scout Troop 508 as part of fulfilling the requirements to earn Cinematography Merit Badge. Denis answers questions from the troop such as what type of characters does he like to play and who he likes to work with.

It’s nice to see this video which shows such intelligent questions posed to Denis by the boys in troop 508. In answer to the question of what was his favorite scene, Denis responds saying that getting to rip out the spine of the newscaster in Season 3 is his favorite.

The Season 5 couple, Russell Edgington (Denis O’Hare) and Rev. Steve Newlin (Michael Mcmillian) will both be attending November’s Vampire Ball 4 in London.  Previously we reported that Denis O’Hare would attend, but recently, Michael McMillian has been added to the list of stars attending.  Not only is the site for the event listing Michael as an attendee now, but he also posted the following information on Twitter and Facebook recently:

The fourth annual Vampire Ball, is a 3 day event celebrating vampires in the media and will be held from November 8 to 10, 2013 at the Thistle Hotel Heathrow in England.

True Blood will be well represented at Parafest 2013. Parafest, a premier para-horror convention, featuring paranormal, horror and sci-fi genres. Both Sam Trammell and Kristin Bauer Van Straten will attend as guests.

The entire event will be broadcast using live streaming video for the world to see!  However, you can go to the event which will be held at the Sands Bethlehem Event Center in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania on the weekend of September 6, 7 & 8, 2013.

UPDATE: We have been informed by Parafest that also joining Kristin and Sam will be Denis O’Hare and William Sanderson, so that makes four True Blood stars participating!

True Blood King Russell Edgington, Denis O’Hare will guest-star on Law & Order: SVU according to TV Guide.

The Tony winner will play Father Shea, a priest who is pulled from his car and brutally beaten. When the police arrive, they arrest Fin’s ex-wife’s brother, Sam Randall (Boardwalk Empire’s Erik LaRay Harvey). Despite Sam’s former criminal record and various stints behind bars, Fin (Ice-T) doesn’t think Sam is their man and asks his SVU partners for help getting to the bottom of the case. The episode is tentatively set to air sometime in January.

In a surprising twist, the episode marks O’Hare’s second time playing Father Shea. He originated the character on a 2008 episode of Law & Order: Criminal Intent co-written by current SVU showrunner Warren Leight. This is also O’Hare’s second stint on SVU, following an appearance in 2000. He guest-starred on the original Law & Order four times, most recently in 2003 playing — wait for it — a priest, Father Hogan.

Aside from his scene-stealing role as the King of Mississippi on True Blood, O’Hare earned an Emmy nomination last year for his work on American Horror Story. He most recently reprised his role as Judge Abernathy on The Good Wife.

Straight from The Hollywood Reporter, we learn that True Blood’s Denis O’Hare has joined the cast of the new film, “Dallas Buyers Club.”

Jean-Marc Vallee’s AIDS drama Dallas Buyer’s Club has Matthew McConaughey leading the ensemble, playing the afflicted Ron Woodroof, who explores alternate medicines to combat his disease. He has been surrounded by mega talents, from Jennifer Garner and Jared Leto the always welcome Steve Zahn. And now a handful of formidable character actors have signed on to the production, which currently is shooting in New Orleans.

Griffin Dunne, Denis O’Hare and Bradford Cox have agreed to co-star in Vallee’s film.  Denis will play the part of a doctor in the film.

The movie plans to address the real-life story of Woodroof, a Texas electrician who battled the U.S. Food & Drug Administration as he sought (and later smuggled) effective AIDS drugs back into the States to help himself and fellow patients. His efforts advanced his own life, but at what cost?

McConaughey has shed a quarter of his body weight to play Woodroof, and Leto’s joining him by manipulating his appearance for the benefit of the film. Dallas Buyer’s Club will be in theaters in 2013, possibly in time for an awards campaign?

Alexander Skarsgård looked very dapper in dark suit and tie at the HBO’s Annual Emmy Awards Post Awards Reception at the Pacific Design Center on September 23. Janina Gavankar never looked more beautiful with smokey eyes and a stunning blue dress, Michelle Forbes rocked a classy long gown. Sam Trammell and Adina Porter also looked pretty glamorous.

The only True Blood cast member who actually attended the Emmys was Denis O’Hare, looking fashionable in a tux with bowtie.
