Alright! More Manganiello in True Blood season 4. Deadline.com report that Joe has been promoted to regular for the next season of True Blood.
There was a lot of buzz surrounding the casting of the role late last year before it went to Manganiello. He was originally supposed to appear only in a handful of episodes, but he impressed the show’s producers and was embraced by True Blood fans, leading to his promotion to regular for next season.
Congrats Joe, we can’t wait to see more of you.
We have special Team Alcide gear in our non-profit Billsbabe’s Shoppe.
Joe Manganiello in August Muscle & Body Magazine
Wow, Joe Manganiello certainly wasn’t wasting his time going to the gym six days a week and eating lots of protein while getting ready for his portrayal of Alcide on True Blood.
You will see Joe in the next issue of Muscle & Body Magazine! The issue won’t be out until the first week of August, but “toofab” got a sneak peek now — and the shots by photographer Cory Sorensen are definitely something to howl over.

Celebrity Traveler Joe Manganiello
With True Blood there are lots of hot men, but this year it seems to be all about the new werewolf in town: Alcide Herveaux, played by Joe Manganiello. Joe was recently interviewed by the Chicago Tribune where he talks about his vacation plans in Europe and that he’s a fan of Australia.
Born and raised in the Pittsburgh area, the 33-year-old actor who once earned a living as a roadie for the rock band Goldfinger now calls Los Angeles home. As for his next destination, Europe, which he has never visited, is calling him.
Q What is your favorite vacation destination?
A I love Australia. (There are) big metropolitan cities pressed up against beautiful beaches, a relaxed European style, music, cuisine, there’s no language barrier, and no one honks their car horns. It’s the best of all worlds.
Q Where are your favorite weekend getaways?
A I’ve been getting away to Las Vegas quite a bit recently for the HBO boxing events, which are a blast! It has also given me the chance to see the Cirque du Soleil shows, which completely blow my mind, by the way, and eat at some amazing restaurants. San Diego is a town I really love. If I didn’t need to live in LA right now for work, I could definitely see myself living there. Julian (Calif.) is a charming and historically preserved gold-mining town up in the mountains about an hour outside of San Diego that I love. There is a line of pie shops there that all serve fresh-baked hot apple pie. It’s a great place to spend an afternoon. Make sure you stop to check out the views.
Q What are your favorite hotels and restaurants?
A The London NYC hotel (thelondonnyc.com) in New York really impressed me when I stayed there last year. I also really loved staying at the Four Seasons (fourseasons.com) in Las Vegas on one of my most recent trips. You really can’t beat their amenities. The Mandarin Oriental Las Vegas (mandarinoriental.com/lasvegas) was also extremely impressive, especially their restaurant Twist. Dinner was like being a judge on “Iron Chef.” It was amazing! Also I wholeheartedly recommend La Concha Resort (laconcharesort.com) in Puerto Rico. Gorgeous! My favorite restaurants are generally old-school steakhouses like The Palm Restaurant (thepalm.com), Mastro’s (mastrosrestaurants.com) and Delmonico’s (delmonicositaliansteakhouse.com) — places with career waiters and menus you just can’t go wrong with.

Joe Manganiello talks about Eric and Alcide “squaring-off”
Over at “EOnline” Kristin provides a few spoilers from Joe Manganiello and what we can expect from him in future episodes of True Blood, Season 3. Below is part of the article.
Spoiler Alert!
Alexander Skarsgård might want to watch his back. Not that we’re replacing that sexy vamp—but things are about to get a little heated between Alcide and the sheriff.
And yes, Sookie (Anna Paquin) is involved—did you even need to ask?!
Once again Sookie is tearing apart the men of True Blood—the little cutie can’t help it!
“Obviously, Bill and Sookie have been having some problems, and Alcide is in a very interesting position as far as all of that goes,” Joe tells us. “And Eric steps into the mix as well.” Dun-dun-dun!
Joe elaborates coyly: “Werewolves and vampires don’t like each other to begin with. You will wind up seeing Eric and Alcide together at some point. When I was being cast, I heard that they were looking for somebody as tall or taller than Alex because they wanted somebody who could square off against him. I’ll just say that.”
