A little over two weeks ago we told you about True Blood’s Kristina Anapau (Maurella) who is trying to win a competion with four other celebrities to win $10,000 for her charity “Stand Up To Cancer.” Recently, her mother passed away from the disease and she wants to help her.

True Blood’s mama fairie Maurella, played by Kristina Anapau is now working to win votes from you to help support the fight to cure cancer.
By her participation in the online event Stand Up to Cancer (SU2C) and winning, the charity will receive $10,000.
Stand Up To Cancer (SU2C) — a program of the Entertainment Industry Foundation (EIF), a 501(c)(3) charitable organization — is a groundbreaking initiative created to accelerate innovative cancer research that will get new therapies to patients quickly and save lives now. SU2C is bringing together the best and brightest researchers and encouraging collaboration instead of competition among the entire cancer community.
Kristina knows first hand what it’s like to experience what the disease is like since her mother was diagnosed a few months ago.
Kristina says:
Now more than ever, as funding for cancer research is disappearing, every single one of us must stand up and be heard. My mother was diagnosed with Stage IV cancer just four months ago. I am proud to support SU2C and its efforts to raise funds for groundbreaking cancer research that can get therapies to patients quickly and save lives.
It’s nice to know that, just like most of the other True Blood stars, Kristina has a good heart and is working to support a worthy cause even during busy times. In addition to True Blood, she has two films coming out in 2013: the paranormal thriller Sighting and the action pic BlackJacks.

True Blood’s Kristina Anapau who plays the faery Maurella has been tapped to guest star in the tv series, “Grimm.”
In the installment where she will appear is titled “Good Shepherd” and loosely based on the fable about the wolf in sheep’s clothing. Kristina will play Megan Marston, a quiet, sheepish secretary working at a Wesen church who is actually a sheep-like creature dubbed a Seelengut. Despite her reserved nature, Megan is in an intimate relationship with the church’s Blutbad reverend — a wolf in sheep’s clothing, indeed.
Season 2 of Grimm currently airs Mondays at 10/9c. It’ll move to its regular timeslot on Friday, Sept. 21 at 9 pm.
