Here’s a glimpse at Stephen’s new film Priest as we see him on set with Paul Bettany and Cam Gigandet.
This first look at Scott Stewart’s Priest aired during the Canadian version of Entertainment Tonight last Friday.
Official Plot Synopsis: Priest is set in a world ravaged by centuries of war between man and vampires. Paul Bettany is Priest, a legendary warrior priest during the last Vampire War, who now lives in obscurity among the other human inhabitants in walled-in dystopian cities controlled by the Church. But when his 18-year-old niece is abducted by a murderous pack of vampires in the desolate wastelands outside, Priest breaks his sacred vows and ventures out to find her and seek vengeance upon those responsible, especially their brutal leader (Karl Urban). Priest is joined on his crusade by his niece’s boyfriend, Hicks (Cam Gigandet), a local outpost sheriff, and Priestess (Maggie Q), a member of his former legion of vampire-killers who has otherworldly fighting skills.
The sun is again shining in Los Angeles and Stephen Moyer and Anna Paquin were seen enjoying the weather while attending a weekend charity fete, where they were arm-in-arm on the Santa Monica Pier on Sunday afternoon (March 14).
The “True Blood” co-star couple joined a number of their fellow celebrities to take part in the annual Make-A-Wish Foundation Fun Day.
As for the event, the Make-A-Wish Foundation Fun Day was hosted by actor Kevin James, with appearances by Mischa Barton, Rosario Dawson, Ali Landry and Adam Sandler.
Treating visitors to rides and fun-filled booth activities, the Make-A-Wish Foundation has a mission of “granting the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.”
I’m still up in the clouds and can’t stop thinking about what happened while I was on my vacation. Billshuman and I were in Los Angeles this past week and never expected to have such a wonderful and memorable meeting as we were lucky enough to encounter while there. We were already having a wonderful time seeing all the sites, taking in Hollywood Boulevard that included the Oscar festivities and even saw some stars, but all of that was paled by the historic meeting we had that was truly the highlight of the trip.
On Tuesday, in Hollywood, while walking on Highland Avenue towards our hotel, Billshuman and I saw and spent time with the man, the myth, the legend, Stephen Moyer.
He was having lunch at Ammo Restaurant on Highland Avenue, which happens to be near our hotel. He looked wonderful dressed casually in jeans, black shirt and grey cardigan. Although he was in the middle of an interview and very pressed for time, he was happy to take a moment out to speak with us.
We asked him if he remembered us from last year’s PaleyFest event and he said yes, of course he remembered us and he also mentioned that he knew of Billshuman from her question at Paley and that I was a co-admin on the Vault and AllStephenMoyer.com. We asked if it would be possible to get a picture and/or video with him and he immediately got up from his lunch and came outside the restaurant for the quick hello.

I still can’t get over how incredibly natural and funny he is. As we began chatting, he immediately noticed Billshuman’s teeth and asked if she had fangs in. She said no these are her real teeth and he said I have some, too and showed us his.
He mentioned that he was a bit jet lagged, as he had just returned from London to attend the Vanity Fair Oscar party and was still getting up at 4am because he was on London time. He did look a bit tired, but he still looked unbelievably perfect to me!
We asked him how the filming of Season 3 was going and if we could depend on him to, “kick some ass” this year. He said, of course, and although he couldn’t elaborate too much, he did say, “You won’t fucking believe what they are doing to my character this season”. We asked if we might get to see a femoral artery bite also and he said, “you just might”. We’re hoping!
I then inquired if True Blood would be at Comic con this year and he said, “Yes”. He then went on to talk about how he remembers all the Eric fans from Comic con last year and that there will probably be even more fans for him this year because of Eric’s increased profile on the show, so he needs all the Bill fans he can get to attend. We assured him that we were true to Bill only and would help to rally all the Bill fans for him.
Billshuman and Stephen
He was very affectionate, friendly, charismatic and extremely personable. Along with the photos and the video, we each got two big hugs and a kiss. He is everything I thought he was and more. Extremely gracious in every way and as handsome as I thought he would be and not only that but, he gave a big shout out to the Vault and AllStephenMoyer.com in the video. What more could you want?
For me, this was the highlight of my vacation and probably for the entire year or even longer! What a treat! Thanks Steve!
Stephen and Lynnpd
A few notes about the video written by Shadaliza:
Even though Stephen was in the middle of lunch he graciously agreed to record a quick video message and do a shout out to The Vault and AllStephenMoyer.com. So you’ll all understand what Stephen is talking about in the video, he refers to a problem I am dealing with for which I was hospitalized just a few weeks ago.
Despite what you may have heard about Lynnpd and Billshuman’s investigative activities, no restraining order for stalking has been filed (yet).
Tip for watching the video. Loading time of the video depends on your connection and the amount of viewers. To watch the video without interruptions click “play” and click “pause”, watch the blue bar and let the video load completely before hitting “play” again.
We previously reported that The Tribeca Film Festival would premiere Andrew Paquin’s film, “Open House”. The list now includes films done by three of our True Blood cast members. So, in addition to Open House with Stephen and Anna, they list Metropia, where included in the cast is Alexander Skarsgård and his father Stellan.
The popular fest, which is branching out to include an online element this year with Tribeca Film Festival Virtual (click here to learn more), runs from April 21 through May 2, 2010. If previous years are any indication, we can expect at least another handful of genre films to join those mentioned here when the balance of the schedule is revealed on March 15th.
Metropia
Directed by Tarik Saleh, written by Fredrik Edin, Stig Larsson, and Tarik Saleh (Sweden, Denmark, Norway) – New York Premiere. In the year 2024, all of Europe is united by a vast web of underground railways, populated by an army of downtrodden worker bees. When one such cog starts hearing voices and encounters a femme fatale shampoo model who seems to hold some answers, he finds himself unearthing a vast Orwellian conspiracy in this visually arresting animated noir. With the voices of Vincent Gallo, Juliette Lewis, Udo Kier, Stellan Skarsgård, and Alexander Skarsgård. A Tribeca Film release.
Open House
Directed and written by Andrew Paquin (USA) – World Premiere. Brian Geraghty gives a haunting performance as prim and taciturn David, forced for years to watch over his sexually predatory partner Lila (Tricia Helfer) and her violent urges. David longs for human connection and a less violent existence, and when a would-be victim becomes a chance at redemption, he is torn between his humanity and the only life he’s ever known. The writer/director’s sister, Anna Paquin, and her “True Blood” co-star Stephen Moyer, also appear in the film.

Stephen Moyer at the Brentwood Theatre
Another fundraiser that is in the works is the “MOYER KIDS THEATRE FUND” — a way for Brentwood Theatre to provide transportation and low-cost / no-cost tickets so all children can enjoy an enriching, live theatre experience regardless of income. Named after the patron of the theatre Stephen Moyer. We will keep you informed.
During his stay in London last week Stephen was interviewed by Sky TV. In part 2 of this interview he talks about the werewolves in Season 3. You can see part 1 of the interview here.
This morning ITV broadcasted the interview with Stephen Moyer that was recorded last week for the tv show “This Morning”. Stephen chats with hosts Holly Willoughby andd Phillip Schofield about True Blood and more.
In yet another MTV video shot in New York last week at the Fun and Fearless Male Awards Stephen Moyer talks about Shannon Lucio joining the show (she’s replacing the actress who formerly played his wife in a series of flashbacks, Amber Dawn Landrum), he refused to dish out very much info about her — except that she is very lovely.
Lucy Connolly, writer for The Sun, published an article about Stephen Moyer, some parts of it follow here below.
TRUE Blood star Stephen Moyer has told how he is banned from going out in the sunshine – just like the vampire he plays.
Essex boy Stephen, 40, moved to Los Angeles to play blood-sucking Bill Compton in the hit series. But TV bosses demanded he stay pale for the role – and now the actor claims he is the palest man in Hollywood after Twilight’s Robert Pattinson.
Stephen said: “I couldn’t wait to live by the beach and enjoy the weather, then they dye my hair and make me stay out of the sun. I was banned from sunbathing!”
True Blood – dubbed “Twilight for adults” – is the racy drama that has gripped the US and now British audiences on Channel 4 and the FX channel. It features raunchy sex scenes, blood-drinking, drug-taking and lesbian vampires.
The show, like Twilight, has cult status – with Stephen attracting groupies called “Bill’s babes” who beg him to BITE them.
The dad of two said: “I don’t think my fans are more aggressive than Robert Pattinson’s. You don’t get much more aggressive than a virginal 14-year-old. “But they grab you and think it’s OK to touch you – girls, ladies and men. They want to be bitten and want you to break their skin.”I have been sent underwear. A German woman sent me pictures of her naked on a white horse!”
Stephen fell in love with his True Blood co-star Anna, 27 – who starred in The Piano and X-Men – while filming the first series. The couple hid their relationship at first, but are now engaged. He said: “Me and Anna were living together by the end of the first series but nobody knew.”
West Ham fan Stephen has even taken her to his home town Brentwood. He added: “Anna really loved my family and I’ve got a theatre in Brentwood I support and she came to a couple of shows.
