MSNBC posted a poll where we can vote for New TV characters who’ve made an impression. Bill Compton is listed:
He’ll just as soon suck your hemoglobin for a midnight snack, but unlike many other of his vampire brethren, Bill (Steven Moyer) can be a good friend too. He’s certainly spry for someone 173 years old — not a wrinkle on him — and his affection for Sookie (Anna Paquin) was something he never expected. Still trying to figure how he can satisfy both his vampire needs without being repelling to humans, Bill is an all right guy. Just be sure not to expose your neck toward him with a “Come get a taste of me” tease.
Sookie Stackhouse is listed in the same poll.
Eric Northman made it to the fourth round of the EOnline Alpha Male Contest. Eric is up against Michael Westen (Burn Notice).
After dumping Jessica in Bill’s house, Eric and Pam leave. Eric says something in Swedish to Pam.
He says: “Åh, du ljuva frihet!” which means: “Oh, sweet freedom!”
The old Swedish song that Eric is listening to while soaking in Bill’s bathtub (Episode 8) has finally been identified. Nathan Barr, responsible for the show’s score, gives us the answer:
“The song Eric is listening to in the bath tub is called Sancto Erico and was composed and performed by me specifically for that scene. In addition to my own vocals, Lisbeth Scott sings as well who you may recognize as she sings ‘Take Me Home’ from the Pie Cry scene in Episode 6. Sancto Erico will be available on itunes in the next week or two for those who would be interested in purchasing it. As a point of interest, the lyrics are translated from an Old Swedish epic poem about a king named Eric – the writer of this episode Alexander Woo contacted a university professor who knows Old Swedish who recommended this particular text because of it’s focus on a king named Eric.”
