Ahead of the Season 3 finale of True Blood on September 12, HBO released a round of photos for the episode, “Evil is Going On”, for True Blood fans to sink their teeth into.
SPOILER ALERT!
See the photos, after the cut.
Lauren Bowles was recently interviewed by The National Ledger, where she talks about how excited she is to be in the cast of True Blood.
With HBO’s “True Blood” mastermind Alan Ball having announced that next season will be “the season of the witch” on the ultra-hot hit, no wonder Lauren Bowles is calling her casting as witch Holly on the series “completely surreal. I watched the show from the beginning, so I couldn’t have been more psyched about becoming a part of this world. It didn’t seem within the realm of possibility. I’m pinching myself.”
“I know I’m on next year. Beyond that, not much,” maintains the beautiful blond half-sister of Julia Louis-Dreyfus. (They have the same mother.) Bowles has been a fan of the show from its beginning. Not only that, but she’s signed a confidentiality agreement.
Bowles does want us to know her cast mates were “very welcoming. There was no cliquishness” when she arrived on set. Her biggest concern, she says, was whether she could match their ability to be real in their fantasy surroundings.

In this week’s episode, Andy and Brian talk about episode 3.11. “Fresh Blood” or, as the boys say, WHERE’S MY F*CKIN’ WHISKEY?!
In one of their most ill-advised moves to date, Andy and Brian take a tip from rapidly unspooling shapeshifter barman Sam Merlotte and decide to get completely wasted before recording this week’s “True Blood” recap. Somehow they still manage to cover the hot topics – Bill & Eric’s alliance! Arlene’s nobortion! Jesus’ “oh face”! – but lose a lot of cool points (and brain cells) along the way. From
We’re almost at the season 3 finale, and Season 3 will be no more after September 12. Below is is some informaiton about Sookie that is shared by Denis O’Hare and Sam Trammell reveals some things about his character, Sam Merlotte.

Benedict in New Orleans: True Blood please! Finale scoop!
I’m starting to get very frightened for our dear Sook (Anna Paquin). Something tells me Denis O’Hare’s promise that he’ll be “weeping tears of joy” may have to do with him walking in sunlight, and I’m also hearing Russell probably won’t be offed. Danger, danger, danger.
Jalya in Kahala, Hawaii: Aw! I cannot believe the way Sam’s acting on True Blood. Tell me it isn’t permanent, please!
Sorry kiddies, but Sam Trammell tells me Sam’s not-so-pleasant adventures are just beginning and will extend far into True Blood’s fourth season. “I know one thing that’s going to happen with Sam [next year], which is taking it to a new level. It’s very cool.” The gang doesn’t even start shooting until November, so get ready for a long and painful off season. Sigh!

Mary Jo (aka Skimom2) has provided her weekly list of the best True Blood quotes below:
This episode was all about trust. Who can trust who? Everyone has an issue with someone but hopefully things will get resolved in the season finale. Or will they? I guess we’ll just have to trust Alan Ball on that one.
I put my trust in the writers again in hopes that there was some interesting dialogue in this episode. And they haven’t failed me yet this season!

Russell to himself- “It’s faeries, fuckin’ faeries! Who knew?”
Russell (as he steps out in the sun) – “Glorious! It’s sublime!”
In tonight’s episode, the penultimate episode to our season finale, we saw the “set up” for Eric’s revenge and survival culminate into “a plan”. I’m sure that the finale is going to focus on Russell and his possible demise. Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait for two weeks to see what really happens since True Blood will be on hiatus next weekend.
Season 3 has been, for me, as good as Season 1, if not even better. I do wish though that each season didn’t change in the last quarter to something very different in scope. It’s almost like we end the seasons with Episode 9 and start a new “mini-season” of three episodes.
This episode however, was a good one, in my opinion, because it was packed full of information and moved quickly, making it enjoyable to watch.
It focused on the theme of “trust”. Sookie wonders who she can trust. Tara has lost all trust in Jason and Andy, Russell decides to trust Eric again, Jason ends up trusting in Crystal, Terry trusts Arlene, and Lafayette loses his trust in Jesus. Sookie is even questioning her trust of Bill. Because of her faerie status, she is a prize to vampires and therefore, is the center for the conflict between them. We don’t know who we can trust either.
As the episode begins, Sookie has just been thrown in the basement of Fangtasia and is being kept prisoner by Pam and Eric. Bill barges into Fangtasia when he feels Sookie’s fear. Immediately encountering Pam and attempting to overpower her, she sprays him in the eyes with a sort of vampire mace, made of silver particles in water. Meanwhile, Sookie is released from her chains in the basement by Yvetta, who is fed up with Eric after he proved to her that she was not important to him. As Sookie is released, she grabs a silver chain and she and Yvetta run upstairs where Bill and Pam are fighting. Sookie immediately overpowers Pam with the chain. Pam reveals that Sookie was to be a gift for Russell in order to save their lives. Yvetta secures Pam as Sookie and Bill run out.
Lafayette and Jesus are still talking about their “V trip”. Jesus wants to go back, but Lafayette doesn’t because he knows that “V” can be very dangerous. He is also having visions (V aftershocks) and sees an image of Jesus that scares him. He makes Jesus go home.
Jason and Crystal are simultaneously discussing her being a werepanther and they both come to grips with the fact that their lives suck. Jason can’t handle it and decides to go look for Sookie instead. But, by the end of the episode he returns to her and vows his love. She reveals that she wants him to go help save the children of hot shot and he agrees.
Finally, Hoyt and Jessica are brought together. This coupling has to be in my opinion; they are perfect together. Jessica reveals to Hoyt that she killed the trucker and that she is now drinking only human blood and not TruBlood. Hoyt tells her how much he loves her and that is all that’s important to him. He offers her his blood to prove his love for her and she drinks. I thought this was a lovely scene and for me, it finalized their coming of age as adults.
Russell is truly grieving for poor Talbot and we find him in front of Talbot’s favorite painting at a museum. He is confronted by Eric and vows to kill him, but first wants to know why he killed Talbot. Eric tells him about his family’s death and Russell’s reply is “to lose the one man I love because you miss your mommy and daddy? Life is absurd.” Eric continues to play his revenge game by telling Russell that he can offer him the sun. Originally, Russell is unimpressed, but after hearing further what Eric has to say he shows interest. Eric says, “If I’m wrong, kill me tomorrow”. Russell’s reply is, “Clever boy, to tempt me”. Just then, Pam calls Eric to tell him that Bill and Sookie have escaped. By the way, I love his ringtone.
Bill and Sookie drive away in Sookie’s car and we have some lovely scenes of them discussing their lives together. Bill wants to “start again, to start anew”, but Sookie still worries she can’t trust him. They fantasize about what their life could be like together. Sookie wants to be a rich real estate agent and Bill says he will be a third grade teacher. Odd choice for a vampire, but then we all know it’s just a fantasy.
Sam returns to Merlotte’s drunk and goes nuts on all the people there. Terry says “You’re hurtin’, I can tell” and tries to help, but Sam refuses all help from everyone, fires Tommy and throws him and everyone out of the bar.
Before he does that, Tara returns and confronts Andy telling him that she knows about Eggs. When he explains what really happened, she seems to accept it. Then, she and Sam sit at the bar together, after he has thrown everyone out, and end up making love. I like Sam and Tara being together, they are so alike in many ways and I’m glad they are finding some happiness. However, I don’t think they truly love each other. Instead, they are just consoling themselves.
Jason finds the quarterback on the Bon Temps football field practicing and he discovers that he is on “V”. When he confronts him about it, he is amazed to hear that the quarterback is doing it with both his parents and his coach’s approval.
Summer comes to see Maxine to tell her that she has been rejected by Hoyt even though she offered herself to him. It seems that Maxine and Summer have been in cahoots all along about the relationship between Hoyt and Summer and Maxine vows that they are not finished, not by a long shot. It was nice to see Dale Raoul back on the show as Hoyt’s mother; she is a treat to watch.
While Bill and Sookie are fantasizing in the car and “everything is peaceful”, the car is abruptly stopped by the appearance of Eric and Russell. The couple is taken prisoners. A short lived period of bliss, I’d say.
Arlene has decided to definitely get rid of her baby and she goes to Holly for help. We see them in the woods where Arlene takes a concoction to end the pregnancy. Next, we see her being wakened by Terry who is very upset since it appears she has lost the baby. They go to the hospital and while she is consoling Terry, who is grief stricken by the loss, the doctor walks in and reveals that the baby is still alive and doing well.
Poor Lafayette is awoken (or, is it a dream) in the night to see all his figurines dancing around saying “we need you Lafayette”. I wonder what they need him for and if Lafayette’s family past be a storyline in the next season?
When Bill and Sookie arrive back at Fangtasia as prisoners of Russell and Eric, Eric whispers to Bill to hit him. And, after Sookie and Russell go into the bar they stop fighting and Eric tells Bill “I have a plan”. Bill then asks, “Will it save her?” So, we now know that the two vampires are working together to defeat Russell.
Inside Fangtasia, Eric and Russell decide to drink from Sookie to see if the theory of a vampire being able to walk in the sun is true. She says, “Nothing in my blood is a supernatural sunscreen”, but Bill argues that it is true. She is now angryeven at Bill, not knowing that he is playing along with Eric’s plan. She exclaims “I hate you, I hate you all” and Russell and Eric drink from her. Russell is still skeptical, so Eric has to prove it by going into the sun after feeding on Sookie.
Eric walks out of the door of Fangtasia into the sun and it looks like he is fine. Russell is amazed and decides to also go out, too, but soon discovers Eric is burning.
Just then, Eric slaps handcuffs on him and says, “Be brave, we’ll die together”.
