The HQ photos of season 6 that were released just days ago contained several new faces, but since they are included in the promotion for the new season they must be important players.
Let’s take a look at who they are.
First up and probably known to all film lovers is Rutger Hauer.
The Dutch actor will play the part of Niall Brigant.
[Niall Brigant] a mysterious and sinister figure with deep ties to Sookie and Jason. Formerly reported as Macklyn.
Rob Kazinsky is Ben, who apparently is a new suitor for Sookie.
Let’s hope the Sussex born actor can keep his own accent in the role, he is a faerie afterall and most of them seem to be English.
[Ben] a highly charismatic faerie who takes a liking to Sookie (and vice-versa) and helps Sookie and Jason delve deeper into the mystery of their parents’ murders.

Jurnee Smollett is a New York born actress who will play the part of Nicole Wright.
[Nicole Wright] A “do-gooder to the core” Nicole is naive, optimistic, and charming — but her idealism is “ultimately vaguely idiotic and dangerous.”Nicole is a key member of a band of well-meaning liberal advocates. The gang models itself after the civil rights activist Freedom Riders of the 1960s, a group of progressive protesters who rode buses from state to state, challenging racial segregation and Jim Crow travel laws. The Freedom Riders were usually arrested, and fell victim to mob violence, Ku Klux Klan beatings, and cruel and unusual punishment in prison.

Amelia Rose Blaire plays Willa Burrell, the daughter of Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell.
[Willa Burrell], the daughter of Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell (played by Arliss Howard). She has long clashed with her father over vampire rights. Female, Caucasian, 22, a pretty co-ed. While her position is against her fathers plans she is powerless to stop him from his agenda.

[Louisiana’s Governor Truman Burrell], Earlier the same source reported that the name of the Govenor was Creighton Burrell, so it looks like the writers changed his first name. The character is described as a good ol’ boy politician who has a major beef with vampires ever since his wife ran off with one, leaving him as a single father to their only daughter. Politically savvy and perhaps overly ambitious, Truman tends to let his personal aspirations overshadow his humanity.

It’s hard to believe that True Blood Season 6 is almost complete the last few episodes of this short 10 episode upcoming season. However, they are still adding some new cast members and below is a casting call for 6.08 and an announcement of a casting for 6.09.
