We continue to speculate what song represents the title for each episode. Here’s a possibility for Episode 7 of Season 3 which is titled “Let The Bodies Hit The Floor” by Drowning Pool.
Here’s an animated version of the same song:

The HBO’s Post Golden Globe Awards Party held at Circa 55 Restaurant at The Beverly Hilton Hotel on January 17 was attended by many members of the True Blood cast as well as other HBO stars. Here’s an interview of some of the attendees that includes a talk with True Blood’s Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer.
Predictions are starting to show up for who will win the Golden Globes. As we have previously reported, True Blood is up for best drama series and Anna Paquin is nominated for best actress in a drama. Who will win? Who knows! But, it’s fun to predict and make guesses. HitFix Entertainment has come up with their predictions of who will win each of the categories and, guess what, they like True Blood! Here’s what they have to say as it relates to True Blood’s two nominations:
Will Sunday night’s Golden Globes be all about familiar winners like “30 Rock” and “Mad Men” or is the Hollywood Foreign Press ready for a changing of the awards guard? We’re predicting the latter.
It’s almost a given that FOX’s “Glee” is ready to enjoy a breakout night, with Lea Michele seeming like a near certain winner for lead actress in a comedy and the series poised on the brink of a coronation.
Plus, after a win for Anna Paquin last season, this may be the right time for HBO’s “True Blood” to take its first meaningful series win. After all, tis the season of The Vampire.
But knowing the Golden Globes, if we predict surprises, the winners will all be lame sticks-in-the-mud and if we predict entrenchment, they’ll all be surprises…
Best Television Series – Drama

“Mad Men”
“True Blood”
“Dexter”
“Big Love”
“House”
Who Should Win: “Mad Men” remains TV’s best show. It deserves to win.
Who Will Win: The Golden Globes nominated “True Blood” in its first season when it was a pretty poor guilty pleasure. Now that the show is becoming increasingly solid, the Globe voters are going to jump at the chance to give “True Blood” the win.
Best Performance by an Actress in a Television Series – Drama
![]()
Anna Paquin, “True Blood”
Kyra Sedgwick, “The Closer”
Julianna Marguilies, “The Good Wife”
Glenn Close, “Damages”
January Jones, “Mad Men”
Who Should Win: As unnecessarily twisty as “Damages” got in its second season, Glenn Close continues to give one of TV’s best female performances. But you know who *should* win? Katey Sagal for “Sons of Anarchy.” Ooops.
Who Will Win: Anna Paquin won last year and as much as Globe voters love ingenues, most of those ingenues don’t get multiple wins. That makes Julianna Marguilies this year’s fresh face. Marguilies has seven Golden Globe nominations without a win, but she gets this one for “The Good Wife.”
I know we’re already in 2010 and we usually don’t look back after the new year starts, but there is yet again, another “best of” nod for True Blood that I thought should you should know about.
Here’s what they had to say bout True Blood:
1) TRUE BLOOD
Why it Rocked: Because this is how a vampire show should be, screw TWILIGHT or NEW MOON or THE VAMPIRE DIARIES. Adult, brutal, sexy and foul-mouthed. Now we are talking. The exploits of Sookie Stackhouse and Bill the Vampire along with the other members of the show continued to heat up as the threat from a church dedicated to wiping out the vamps and an immortal being looking to sacrifice a shape shifter to her beloved Pagan god. While it took a while to get to the final battle with the immortal being, the pay off was glorious and fun all the same.
Memorable Moment: Dumb-as-a-rock Jason playing hero and coming up with some of the best lines from the show to date including this gem “Do you think Sam could turn into a chicken and lay his own eggs?”
Here’s the remaining choices:
2) TORCHWOOD – CHILDREN OF EARTH
3) BEING HUMAN
4) LEVERAGE
5) 24
True Blood’s, Alexander Skarsgård treated himself to a movie yesterday afternoon in LA. I wonder what film he went to see?
Buddy TV has come out with their list of the sexiest men of 2009 and three of the True Blood men have made the top 100. Alexander Skarsgård came in at #2, Mehcad Brooks is #28 and Ryan Kwanten is at #32. We have to say that there seem to be some other True Blood hunks that we think should have been recognized, namely, Sam Trammell, Stephen Moyer and Jim Parrack, just to name three.
Congratulations to the True Blood men who made it to the top 100!
