What about Denis O’Hare???

I can’t believe that Denis O’Hare wasn’t nominated or any of our other actors for that matter. I won’t be watching the Emmys that’s for sure.

I am very happy for Alfre! But what about Denis O’Hare??? Who decides who gets nominated anyway? I have a feeling he just got squeezed out by mistake…accidently over-looked?

As I understand the process, the first round is self-nominations, then a panel of academy members selects a short list (the nominees we see) and then members (not sure if this is all members or a select group of members) vote to determine the winners in each category.
So, if an actor or a show doesn’t self-nominate then they have zero chance. For example, the producers of Two and a Half Men chose not to place the show in nomination this time.
