Deborah Ann Woll did a lovely interview with ABC News. In a very relaxed atmosphere Deborah talks about Jessica and goes deep into her character’s psych and motives.

Deborah Ann does a wonderful job explaining Jessica … her human background, her early days as a baby vamp, and her evolution to someone who is becoming more confident of her place in the world. That confidence might be at a low ebb now, since she’s had to glamor herself out of Hoyt’s life, and her maker is on a religious path that is strange to Jess.
Deborah also speaks about the vampire as metaphor for others who are marginalized in society for whatever reason. She’s such a lovely, well-spoken young woman. It is a pleasure to watch and listen to her.
