A look inside the finale episode of True Blood’s Season 6.10 – “Radioactive.”
By the way, what was that? Finale? Waiting already sucks!
I was absolutely stunned by the finale, and not necessarily in a good way. I have no sympathy for Warlow. He’s a monster, and I’m glad he’s gone. Too bad we couldn’t have seen more of Niall, but at least he returned in time to help Jason kill Warlow. Pam set out to find Eric. I hope she arrives in time to save him. Not sure how she’ll do that but there is always hope. He looks doomed but you never know. Eric is such an integral part of True Blood. I can’t believe he is gone. I don’t imagine Sookie and Alcide will last. And Bill has returned to his normal vampire ways … goodbye, sires and Lilith. Thank goodness!!!

Oops … that’s “goodbye, sirens and Lilith.”
The season ended with the best episode.
Our Bill Compton is back and better than ever. :)
What an awful finale. Lets see how many people and relationship they can distort. What they did to Eric was awful.
I think HBOwent to a new low trying to sell Alex’s nudity to get ratings. Bucky said that his scene would be “Sexy and Provacative”. There was absolutely nothing sexy about that scene. It was awful to see someone literally roasting. How little they must think of their fans. Most of us don’t care about nudity. I’d much rather they put the effort into actually writing a story that actually has some continuity and holds strong to some basic rules of canon. If I were a Bill fan I wouldn’t be so happy. They’ve taken him from being a southern gentleman with a dark side to an Asshole than a monster and now he’s back to being an asshole. You’ll never get season 1 Bill back. What a mess. There’s already a mass exodus on tumblr.

I loved season 1 Bill. After last night’s finale I took out season 1 and started playing it because I missed it so much.
St Reply:August 22nd, 2013 at 6:22
A “mass exodus”? Lolllllll
On tumblr no less? What will true blood do without a hundred rabid Eric fan girls who think they know the story and the characters better than those who created them? What I see are obsessed people who think they are making a difference by complaining about Brian Buckner whom they will never meet about a fictional show via the Internet and hate mail. I also dislike when those that are super angry group the rest of the viewers in with them, like the millions of people that watch true blood definitely all feel like they do. Cray.
I would be okay with Eric’s sort of ironic death, but he might start an avalanche with that scream.
So Warlow had to stay alive for the daywalking to continue? Maybe Lilith is sorry out in “no place” that she didn’t give Bill that info. She waited thousands of years to have her dream spoiled because Bill loves “the blonde”.
I honestly love the finale and I’m really loving the direction the show is going to. I honestly think they could have left out the scene where eric burns in the sun because it’s useless, unless they’re planning on showing pam rescuing him in season 7. The show is getting back to its roots which is awesome.
It certainly tied things up, but Sookie appeared like an ungrateful, selfish and spoiled child. Bill continues to risk his life for her and she treats him like some evil thing. While she dreamily admires him on the TV and goes to bed with the wolf. It is disgusting the number of men who bend over backward to save her.
Pam got the blood hours or even a day after Eric drank from Warlow. I’m guessing she had time to get to him and put him deep in the snow. I’m guessing that’s the second scene from next seasons premier.
Jimmy Reply:August 18th, 2013 at 21:57
OR the sun will set before he burns completely up.
It makes no sense that Eric would be out in the middle of nowhere…in Sweden, in the snow…when he catches fire….that whole set looked like a “dream”…
I like Alcide and Sookie…for once, she had an almost “normal” guy and relationship…go to church, to a party…you know, human kinds of stuff..
The worst finale in the history of TB! It´s my opinion
No one wants the flaccid Swedish Cock okay HBO. We want a plotholeless show that makes sense – at least to the viewers if not the characters. We want a female lead that’s AN ACTUAL FEMALE LEAD to grow and change and not be a dumbass repeating the same mistakes. We want our leads interacting with each other more than once a season. And you know, while we’re at it, we’d like the abuse sexual, mental and physiological on Jason, Sookie, and just about everyone else to stop.
KillJoy Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 3:31
Don’t agree with everything you wrote, but I do agree with some. The abuse of people bothers me. But I like Eric a lot!
TLFin1 Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 6:17
I agree. And I’m always a little annoyed that the female characters are always smacked around/eaten/tortured in episodes written by Kate Barnow. Warlow resembles Franklin Mott with his crazy obsessive behavior.
That was such a great episode!!! And anyway, Eric is NOT dead! There is no way, Pam will save him for sure. I believe these two are the love of each other’s lives actually…
Now, I like Alcide, you know, when he’s nice, but it won’t last with Sookie.
Because there is only one true love for Sookie, and that’s Bill! I’m SO happy to have the real Bill back, the Bill from season 1 & 2, who would do anything to protect Sookie. He was always there somewhere, under that Lilith BS, but now he’s back in Bon Temps where he belongs.
I’m so happy, I feel like I’ve got my show back! :) We’re back to the show’s roots, with everyone in Bon Temps, and now I can’t wait for season 7!
Surfer chick Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 6:28
I hate to break it to you,but you are not getting your show back and Bill is most certainly not back to the way he was. Besides, why on earth would you want Sookie to get back together with a man that treated her so badly. That attitude is why women stick around in abusive relationships. They don’t think they deserve better. This show is all sorts of dysfunctional.
Liz86000 Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 6:48
Because I want Bill & Sookie together, I’m for abusive relationships????!
Okaaayyy, you’re a crazy rabid Eric fan (one of those who must have harassed & abused Charlaine Harris maybe?). Just for your information, no characters on TB are perfect. Eric is a murderer, who used Sookie to do his bidding. Though I do believe that, in his own way, he loves her.
For me, though in the beginning he hid things, Bill still fell for Sookie, deeply, and he’s her true love.
But please, don’t mix reality & fiction, ok? Vampires do not exist, and this is just a tv show, k?
Surfer chick Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 7:22
Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha! Okay then! I’m was talking about how a TV show portrays women in dysfunctional relationships which creates a precedent and you’re going on some strange Bills her true love rant. I don’t think I’m the one mixing fiction with reality especially since what I’m talking about is a discussion held in college classes all across this country. Both in literature and psych. I never said she should be with Eric. I only mentioned in my first post that how HBO used his nudity to sell the episode was awful and wrong. Considering he was on scene less than a minute.
St Reply:August 22nd, 2013 at 6:29
I literally just read on tumblr that a few hardcore Eric fans seriously believe and have convinced themselves that the entire finale was from Bill’s point of view and nothing actually happened. Part of me is sad for these people…
AM Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 6:41
Liz, I agree with you, I loved this episode and thank goodness Bill is back! And it is so obvious that Sookie still loves Bill, all of those loving looks she gave him when he was on tv was a big clue.
And Sookie never even cared about Eric and his fate, which is not surprising because she never really loved him at all, just used him.
And if Eric is dead, no big deal, the show will survive and thrive without him.
And once again, I am so happy Bill is back, he and Sookie are definitely going to be a major theme in S7.
Leelala Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 15:08
LOL sorry but there is no way the show would survive without its most popular character… ERIC… He’s not gone, they just gave us a cliffhanger like Bill, Tara and Lala have all had in previous finale’s …
Karen Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 8:28
I agree Liz! Loved getting our Bill back. And Sookie and Alcide will not last. Looking forward to season 7!
st Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 9:59
I see a Bill/Sookie/Alcide love triangle coming for next year and I’m pumped. Bill is going to need to protect her eventually so that dynamic should be really interesting. It also seems like Sookie is nursing at least some sort of crush on Bill based on the finale. I wonder if she is going to give him blood next year if he needs it for potentially protecting her…that would make Alcide cray
Lou Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 18:41
I’m excited for Bill’s return, to us and to Sookie! I think Sookie is too, the way she kept looking at him on TV and in the flesh. I’m not totally on board with all of the changes we witnessed in the finale, but I’m pumped for the action to be returning to BT for season 7.
I felt like I was watching one of the Supernatural episodes where they’re inside a TV show or something. This didn’t feel at all like TB. It was all mashed up like The Walking Dead combined with The Dome or some crazy sh**t.
Merlotte’s is now Bellfleur’s – WTH. I loved Merlotte’s. Does this mean we all have to get new Tshirts?
Sam is mayor.
Tara’s mother and the “let me feed you” creeped me out.
I don’t know…I must be in shock. Maybe when I rewatch the episode I’ll like it better…or not
I thought the finale was a disgrace.
First, Sookie and Alcide??? She’s gone from Bill, to Eric, to kissing Alcide, to jumping on Warlow, to telling Sam she thought they would end up together, and now back to Alcide. If I was Anna Paquin, I would be upset that they are portraying her character as a cheap tart that jumps from man to man.
This might be Alex’s exit from TB. I would be pissed if they kept using me to get ratings like they did with last night’s episode. The fact the Brian Buckner let everyone know we would be seeing more of Eric was a tease to get viewers. If he’s gone from the show, I’m gone.
I’ll post more when Lynn does her wrap up.
mandy Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 9:34
I feel the same ,if he is gone I’m gonna be pissed lol ,but I’m hoping he buried himself in the snow !
littlelisa Reply:August 19th, 2013 at 11:40
I’m with you, I was so mad last night killing Eric off was terrible this show is getting ridiculous!! The reason I started watching the show was because I loved the books they ruined the books worst then Twilight!
Btw, I had a question, as I’ve missed some episodes, is Alcide still pack master? Is he still leading his pack while now dating Sookie? I don’t know, what happened to his girlfriend?
I think Wiwa is on to something when she theorized that Eric could start an avalanche with his yell. So maybe he is being buried by an avalanche is Pam slams into the snow with him. The snow puts out the fire and shields them from the sun. They crawl out one or more nights later. Then of course, they fly home during the night time.
I’m enjoying the shift to Bon Temps and the upcoming vampire-human interface. That should be full of surprises and humor.
I’m suspicious of Lettie Mae’s about-face. I wonder if she might be a Hep V carrier.
I might be the only one, but I like the relationship of Alcide and Sookie. I think it is her only close – to – normal one that could last. I think the writers were trying to show you that. They go to church in the sunlight, watch TV, and he has loved her for a long time. They can have a baby, they can grow old together, but most important, Alcide is a decent guy. For people not liking Sookie running around with different guys so much ( I agree) this is the resolution of the problem.
I can tell Alcide must be a goner since fans just don’t want this relationship, but I will miss it.
