Recently, Kristin Bauer van Straten invited an interviewer, Whitney English from sheknows.com to come to her home and sit with her in her artist’s studio (note the paintings in the background, which were done by Kristin) to discuss True Blood and her other projects, and also about Kristin’s passion for animals. She talks about the trip to Africa where she plans to film a documentary about the plight of elephants and rhinos. She also talks about our charity the Amanda Foundation. See the delightfully honest and interesting interview below:

Kristin’s interviews are always fun and interesting. I loved seeing her animals and her beautiful artwork. I agree with the interviewer … she is one multi-talented lady. Kristin said she enjoys having her hands in dirt. The gardener in me so understands and agrees with that statement.
Thanks for providing.

What a remarkable lady! So talented and yet so gracious. I love how she “invites us in” like one of the neighbors — not just in this great interview, but also in the way she connects with people all over the world through social media and her many personal appearances. She’s such a lovely person. Thanks, so much, for sharing! XO
