Mike Morton, of Examiner.com has, to help close out the 2009 year properly, made a list of 20 movie, television, and video game soundtracks that he felt were great – be they fun, elegant, sophisticated, or just straight-up earworm-y. He has chosen True Blood’s soundtrack, by it’s composer Nathan Barr, as #11 on his list.
Here’s what he had to say about the soundtrack:
11. TRUE BLOOD (Nathan Barr) – Minimalist soundtracks have never been more heartfelt and moving than when Nathan Barr took on the True Blood project. And the score itself (no offense, Lisbeth) is beautiful enough to be released as an independent folk music album. Barr never ceases to amaze his audience with forward-thinking, compositional dexterity and an unending supply of esoteric instruments. Fingers are firmly crossed that Varese Sarabande releases a score for Season Two!

I couldn’t agree more, Nathan Barr’s score is so perfect for “True Blood”, I just love it.

I cant find any information about the music from Season 3 episodes 5 and 6 showing Jason and Crystal in the wood… its absolutely beautiful and i think it may be a nathan barr composition but there are angelic female vocals in it so I’m not sure… can anybody tell me the name of that song?
