When the blood-thirsty HBO series returns this summer, brace yourselves for a whole new mess of baddies and troublemakers. One of our favorites is Mr. Gus–he’s a Japan native who has fully embraced the “everything’s bigger in Texas” way of living. The only thing bigger than his lavish, southern lifestyle? His quest for revenge, and trust us when we tell you, you do not want to cross him.

There have only been two casting calls released so far this season that we’ve found, so as far as we know, Gus hasn’t been cast yet. We’ll let you know when we find anything out.

It was reported that Anna Paquin’s character of “Rogue” had been cut from the upcoming film, X-Men: Days of Future Past. However, recently rumors have been flying about indicating that it may have only been her major scene that was cut and she still might appear in the film.

We remember that some months ago Bryan Singer mentioned she was going to be in the movie in some way.  Also, since she’s credited in all the trailers they have been releasing in the last few days and and, there are promotional photos of her, we suggest that the rumors of her appearance in the film just may be true.  However, feel free to come to your own conclusion.

Below is a picture from the new X-Men: Days of Future Past; featuring Anna Paquin’s Rogue, Wolverine, Beast and Bishop. Many are now speculating that Anna will be seen in the film.

The film is set for release on May 23rd, so we’ll certainly know by then.

Denis O’Hare’s “An Iliad” is now Published

Posted by Lynnpd On March - 30 - 20143 COMMENTS

aniliadAN ILIAD by Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson was released today, March 25.

In a recent BroadwayWorld article in which O’Hare discusses AN ILIAD and more,Denis says he already has another play in mind after finishing performing AN ILIAD: titled THE GOOD BOOK, based on no less than the Bible itself.

“The reason I want to do it is I’m an ex-Catholic atheist and am obsessed with religion. As an openly gay atheist man, I feel the bible has been used as a weapon against me. I want to understand where it comes from. The history is crazy: the archeology, sociology, linguistics, literary criticism. It’s a rigorous endeavor,” O’Hare relates.

On the topic of AN ILIAD, O’Hare says the writing was organic, revealing, “We stumbled on a method of improvising on-camera and transcribing that for the text. What is the story we can tell? We spent a lot of time arguing about the gods. Should we include them? What characters do we cut? That honing process took years, partly because we weren’t doing it full time.”

Order AN ILIAD by Denis O’Hare and Lisa Peterson on Amazon by clicking below.

Additionally, check out  the pdf that gives history and information about the play and it’s source here. It’s a fascinating read.

Below is a short interview with Denis about his part in AHS. The big question is will it be every other “American Horror Story” for Denis O’Hare?

CraveOnline: Are you going to be in [next season of the show“Freak Show?
Denis O’Hare: I don’t know. We are in talks and we’re hoping to get resolution. I will do anything for Ryan. He knows that and I would hope so.

What was your favorite moment from “Coven?”
Denis O’Hare: I love so many moments. I love being in my little dollhouse room sitting with my dolls. I absolutely loved it. I also loved Jessica in bed when we had that little scene where I fed her medicine to make her revive. I just love that whole scene. I also love everything Frannie Conroy did, that was great and I also loved watching Kathy Bates. I thought her scenes were so fantastic.

Are there any cool extras on the DVD that you’re involved with?
Denis O’Hare: I don’t know. There was one scene we did that got cut, a sex scene between Emma Roberts and I.

From which episode?
Denis O’Hare: I can’t remember. It was a pretty intense scene and I’m curious to see what it looked like.

In a recent trip to New Zealand with his play “An Iliad” Denis O’Hare was interviewed by lumiere.net.nz  about his one man play and his latest projects such as his role  in the award winning film, Dallas Buyer’s Club.

Anna Paquin, Denis O'Hare and Stephen Moyer

Back in October, when Stephen Moyer attended the premiere of CASM’s film, Free Ride at the HIFF (Hamptons International Film Festival), he reported about the other projects that his production company, CASM is working on. One he mentioned, was a film CASM was going to produce for Denis O’Hare, from the script Denis wrote about his sister’s suicide. During this interviewer, Denis was also asked about other work and he spoke about the project Stephen had mentioned at HIFF saying that right now they are, “working on a deal.

AB: I’m interested in your own projects as a writer. You mentioned you approached Hoffman about one?

DO: It’s a movie I’m making with Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer, who have a production company. I met them on True Blood. I wrote a movie about my sister’s suicide. It’s a weird road movie where my family and I had to go and figure out why she killed herself. We had to collect her life, pack up her life from this rental apartment she had in Missouri. Anna and Stephen loved the script and so we’re working out a deal right now where Stephen would direct. I would be in it. I wanted Philip for one of the parts. I think I’ll try to go to Paul Giamatti who’s a friend of mine and who I love and think is a great actor. We hope to make it next year. We’re just trying to figure out financing; who’s going to make it and all that. It’s a double whammy. I get to make a film I want to make, and I get to work with my friends who I love, Stephen and Anna.

As he explains, the company is still seeking funding for the project, so there isn’t yet any indication about it’s future yet, but stay tuned because we’ll be sure to post more information here as we learn more.

No surprise here folks, but it looks like there WILL BE a Magic Mike 2.  When Collider interviewed True Blood’s Joe Manganiello about his new film “Sabotage,” the actor offered a surprising update on Magic Mike 2, revealing that filming is poised to get underway this fall.

When they asked if he was still hoping to do the Magic Mike sequel, Manganiello told them that it’s actually moving forward later this year:
magicmikemusical

“Yeah, it’s gonna happen this fall. I think they’re going to announce it soon. It’s crazy. I didn’t think that would be my first franchise. I never thought that would ever be the direction of my career. But that said, it’s just proof that I don’t know best, all the time. It was the most fun I’ve ever had, and I can’t wait to get back in and mix it up with those guys.”

A director has yet to be announced for Magic Mike 2, but there has been speculation that Channing Tatum might actually co-direct with his producing/writing partner Reid Carolin. The two are looking to direct something in the near future, and recently met with producers about helming the crime thriller The Son. That said, there’s also the possibility that Tatum may opt to simply act in and produce the Magic Mike sequel, in which case another director could be brought in to take the helm.
