The True Blood Season 2 finale has a title

Posted by Shadaliza On July - 24 - 2009

Finally we know what the title is of episode 2.12 Season’s 2 finale: “Before The Night Is Over“.
And that is the title of the song Sookie and Bill dance to in that episode. Sookie dressed in a sundress with her hair in a sleek up-do, and Bill in black suit, do a modified jitterbug to the Jerry Lee Lewis song “Before the Night Is Over.”

A few random thougths on Episode 2.05 “Never Let Me Go”

Posted by Shadaliza On July - 21 - 2009

“Never let me go” was all about forming couples, one way or the other. And handjobs.

My favorite quote is from Jessica: “You will be so sorry when I get an eating disorder!”

Sam and Sookie both met somebody very similar to themselves.

Daphne turned out to be Bambi, and plays pool with Sam’s balls. But what’s with those nasty scratches on her back, she has to have some connection with Maryann.

Sookie met another telepath, but unfortunately he didn’t want to swap stories with her.

Terry and Arlene hooked up after the party, but had some awkward moments the morning after.

Sookie doesn’t seem to realize how serious the situation is. She says she does, but she keeps on smiling and immediately does something that she is not supposed to do.  Seems like Bill is living with two teenagers instead of one.
The blood Sookie drank from Bill in Fangtasia is doing wonders for her libido, the prey becomes the predator when she undresses him and sticks her hand in his jeans to remind him that protecting her is not his only desire. Jeans? Yes, Bill is wearing jeans!

Hoyt and Jessica are really cute bonding over a comic book … really, really and then some more.

Jason meets his drill instructor and shows he is made out of leader material, while Sarah Newlin watches him lustfully. Turns out the Newlins aren’t the happy couple they pretend to be and that results in Sarah rewarding Jason with a handjob in the bathtub while she tells him about Jesus and Mary Magdalene.

Maryann is sinking her claws deeper and deeper into Tara. Dressing up like Gran including apron and hairdo was really creepy.

Finally we get to see Godric and learn why he is so important to Eric. Godric is over 2000 years old, what are those tattoos? Aztek?

I feel Bill was kind of emasculated this episode, he was only there in a supporting role for Sookie, serving her needs. And please….. dressing him in a bathrobe and have him say to the hot chick stroking his chest that he would be satisfied to just hold her??? You tell him Sookie, we are not satisfied by that, not one bit!

And then trouble comes strolling down the corridor. Lorena is back.

Bill and Sookie dance in True Blood’s season finale

Shooting in Louisiana, where temperatures soared to nearly 100 degrees, was not an easy task for the True Blood cast and crew but it helped the actors get into character.

“It makes you move slower, which is interesting for character,” Stephen Moyer said. “I understand now why people move so slow down here.”

“You have to move slower, or you’ll pass out,” Anna Paquin said, laughing.

Because of the heat, a medic was on hand to give out water and Gatorade, and the cast had to be transported by van the few blocks between base camp and the shooting location in Clinton because it was too hot to walk.

Still, said the show’s executive producer, Gregg Fienberg, “It was a great town. It worked really well for what we needed.”

After the Clinton shoot, production shifted indoors to the Stockade Bed and Breakfast in Baton Rouge. Once a Civil War stockade, the B&B is listed on the National Register of Historical Places as an archaeological site.

The Stockade’s great room — an open space with a balcony, baby grand piano, large wood-burning fireplace and floor-to-ceiling glass wall — was transformed into a restaurant for the shoot. A nearby breakfast room, filled with antiques and hummingbird and botanical prints, became a makeshift studio for directors and script supervisors to watch the scenes unfold on monitors.

The sequence shot on this day was a dance scene. Paquin, in a sundress with her hair in a sleek up-do, and Moyer in black suit, do a modified jitterbug to the Jerry Lee Lewis song “Before the Night Is Over.” Between takes, the actors chill out in a back room at the B&B where stylists touch up their makeup.

Footage from the Louisiana shoot will appear in upcoming episodes and the season finale, set to air on Sept. 13, which is expected to include the dance scene.

A few random thoughts on “Shake and Fingerpop”

Posted by Shadaliza On July - 13 - 2009

It looks like Bill and Jessica are bonding after all and Sookie is starting to sound like a real stepmother… when did she become so wise?

Jessica: “Is it my fault that my fangs come out when I get turned on?”

Bill: “I am a vampire. I am supposed to be tormented.”

Sookie: “You can teach her how to walk that line between vampire and human”
Bill: “Yes, because I have mastered that”

And let’s hope the stains wash out of that black polo shirt, would be a shame to throw it away.

Even though Tara moves out, she cannot escape the spell of Maryann. But that girl has some moves on her! And she got lucky as well and so did we… I bet you could bounce a quarter on Egg’s ass.

I am as lost as Luke on this one:
Luke: “There is one thing you can count on: God will make sure evil gets punished.”
Jason: “Yeah well than explain Europe to me.”

Andy is on a wild pig hunt.

Sam really starts to grow on me. Is it just me or does he look better and better with every episode? He is really not an alpha, but he is getting some sugar. Questions is how does Sugar know what he is and what’s with the scratches on her back?

Louisiana Hot Sauce…. Last episode Sarah whipped out her pudding for Jason, this week she showed up in a nightgown in his bedroom…. What will the future bring I wonder? Doesn’t she know that adultery is a sin? In the meantime the two religious vipers are sweet talking Jason and setting him up to do their dirty work.

Sookie got tipsy on booze for dolls and Jessica doesn’t know how to open a coffin. Daddy Compton giving glamour lessons and Jessica gaining a cell phone in the process.

The boys are at it again…. Eric books Bill and Sookie a room without a bed and Bill orders a Tru Blood of $45 and makes Eric pay for it.

Eric finds Sookie’s meaningful things curious and that includes Lafayette and that boy has some moves on him as well…!

Intercourse with the vampire…. Fangbanger’s porn. Getting curious Sookie?
