The release of The Barrens, starring Stephen Moyer, is set for October 9 on DVD and in a Blu-ray/DVD combo pack; the movie will also hit USA theaters through a combination of a limited release and additional big-screen showings based on fan demand via a partnership with Tugg.
The discs will present the movie in 16×9-enhanced 1.78:1 widescreen, with Dolby Digital 5.1 sound on the DVD and Dolby TrueHD 5.1 sound on the Blu-ray; extra features include commentary by director Darren Bousman and cinematographer Joseph White and a deleted scene.

I’m fairly sure The Barrens won’t come to one of my town’s theatre screens. There are so many films that never make it here. I will be purchasing the DVD. I’m not about to miss out on this movie. Thanks for providing the release info, Shad.
