Actress Tara Buck will be back as Fangtasia’s waitress Ginger. She is listed for Episode 2.02 – Keep This Party Going and Episode 2.03 – Scratch My Back.
Carson Aune has been cast of the role of Travis for Episode 4 “Let’s Take A Trip Together”. He is the room service that Jessica orders at the Dallas hotel.
The casting call describes him as:
“21 years old and very handsome in his hotel bathrobe, he is Jessica’s polite, barely legal “room service” (B negative blood)…CO-STAR (54)”
I would like to know the name of that hotel, so I can order me some roomservice…
Besides acting Carson is a musician as well. You can listen to him on his MySpace page.

It means at least that Jessica goes to Dallas too… hmm, very interesting news, thanks!

I’m with you Shad–he is a cutie! At least we know Jessica goes to Dallas with Bill and Sookie. I really wish season 2 would start soon. The anticipation is getting to be too much!

Thanks Shad. Very interesting indeed. In the book Bill orders ‘room service’ so wonder if this is replacing that scenario.

He’s cute! Lucky Jessica.

Please…. PLEASE…. hurry up Season 2! I can hardly stand it…. the wait…. I can’t contain myself. My daughter and I watched Eps. 3 last night on HBO and we looked at each other and said “Season 2 cannot happen soon enough!”
WE LOVE YOU TRUE BLOOD!

ahhh, more blue eyes! what is it with incredibly gorgeous men with blue eyes on True Blood????!

Me too :)

I agree with Maureen, regarding Jessica ordering the room service instead of bookBill. I think Alan Ball has chosen to omit or re-write some of the book scenes that later showed Bill in a questionable. Creating Jessica allows him to still entertain us with C. Harris’ wonderful characters and vampire mythology without making Bill the “bad guy”.
[Reply]
I know some folks think Bill is the “bad guy” but by golly, I’m sorry, I just don’t see it (books or show). And I think this is what makes “reading” so much fun, because you form your own ideas.
Please don’t think I’m trying to be difficult about this… cause I’m not. It’s just my take on what I read in the book. ;-)
I thought Bill ordered room service because he had the air plane flight, was hungry, didn’t want to feed from Sookie because he knew she had to have her strength to work that night. He talked to Sookie about ordering a donor feeder and when they arrived Sookie went into a different room.
[Reply]
I haven’t read the books but couldn’t he drink True Blood then if he was so hungry?? Like he always does
[Reply]
he isn’t ordering room service its for Jessica..he drinks trueblood on the show…he only fed when he was hurt or after he gave Sookie his blood, I don’t count Uncle creepy. The show is different from the books,

I agree with Maureen.

i’m actually excited to hear Ginger’s back, i like Tara’s portrayal of her.
i stopped myself reading Carson’s involvement tho…
hurry up, June!

I love the show, but because I’m such a fanatical fan and love think the books are sooo amazing I wish they would just stick with the plot of the books. I was looking forward to seeing the second book play out in season two but now that I know about some of the changes they’ve made I’m kind of bummed. I will of course watch it, but I guess it’s true what people say…the books are always better, lol.
By the way, I’m totally Team Eric! But I may be partial considering I read the books.

“I guess it’s true what people say…the books are always better, lol.”
Brandi, many would disagree with you on that one and prefer the show over the books.
[Reply]
You’re so right Shad…and the show has Stephen Moyer. That in itself is enough to make it soar! But Ms Harris did give a great springboard for the show to unfold.
[Reply]
Totally agree with Shad…I’m one of those who think the show is superior to the books (although I love the supernatural world that C. Harris created)!
[Reply]
Absolutely agree Shad. I think the show uses the basic premise, but I am confident that Alan Ball will continue to take these characters in more interesting directions. The emergence of Jessica as a prominent character this season will push our Bill further into the story. He becomes more than Sookie’s “first” and the bad vampire, CH forsook later in the series. Ginger was a cute ditz, and Travis will be yet another reason to obsess over this show. One question though, if a cup of coffee ordered from room service costs $8, how much does Travis add to the bill?
[Reply]
I actually don’t even want to read the books based on what I’ve heard about Bill. But I did skimm through the 2nd book and read only the Bill/Sookie scenes and I so much prefer Stephen’s Bill than Book-Bill, because I kinda thought he was a jerk in the book. He’s a bit more colder and tells her what to do more, what to wear. In the show, he let’s her do what she feel is right, let’s her think what she wants. He let’s her be her own individual and that’s why I love them together. I didn’t get the same feeling when I read their scenes in the book.
[Reply]
Bill is not a bad person, ops, vampire. He’s much more human than the other characters because he has his flaws. He had made many mistakes in the past, but I believe he truly loves Sookie, and there’s a tiny hope that they might end up together. I love BookBill and TVBill. The books are fun, but they get boring, and Sookie is a little annoying, nobody is perfect for her. I hate the Eric from the last books, he lost his personality.
Can’t wai till June!

I really hope Ginger can keep her dinner down this time. Of all the gross things we had to watch in season 1, for some reason Ginger blowing chunks all over Longshadow’s remains is, like, #1 on the “ick” meter for me. I felt a bit like Eric in that scene – “Dude, humans? So not worth it.”

“He has made many mistakes in the past, but I believe he truly loves Sookie”
Oh, I have no doubt he loves her. He does. But I just felt that he was a bit cold. At least in the 2nd book. I haven’t read anything else, hehe

The thing I liked most about Book 2 was the relationship of Sookie and Bill was in full swing. They were spending the evenings together and seemed to have a “life” together. Their trip to Dallas together was interesting, and of course the end was a super duper, sex party and all. hope they keep that in, sounds like it will be so from what I have read.
[Reply]
everything’s cool as long as bill and sookie are together :P i didnt really care much for the book once bill was sort of left out undeveloped. tv-bill is just incredible character and stephen is just brilliant! the more i watch the reruns the more i see what a great actor he is. want to see more of him.
