For the recurring role of Godric the nineteen-year old Danish actor Allan Hyde has been cast.
“Alan wants him,” That was the message from the American cast, after the actor’s agent had sent a sample recording of the young Dane to the United States.
In Denmark Allan lent his voice to several animation and children’s films and had roles in tv series, plays and films.
Allan Hyde will appear in 3 episodes in the second season of True Blood, starting with episode Episode 2.05 – Never Let Me Go.
Godric is an over two thousand years old vampire, but looks 15, he is an ancient Vampire. Small in stature and youthful appearing, but able to project intense power and wisdom.

Dude, it’s GodFREY, not GodRIC. Know what you’re talking about before you publish it.

The casting call was called for a character named GodRIC. GodFREY has never been mentioned.

Actually, Godric was his “original” name (in the book) but he had updated it to Godfrey in the last 100 years so it would be more contemporary. So they are both right. Living Dead in Dallas – pg 55.
