Spoiler Alert!
Wow, could there be friendship, or even more, between Eric Northman and Bill Compton brewing in Season 5? We’ve heard hints that they will have a common foe this season and therefore have to work together, but it looks like it might be developing into more, according to Alexander Skarsgård.
Over at E! Online, Alexander Skarsgård answered a question saying,
“We call it season of the bromance. We just started [filming] and we’re on episode four of season five. I have a lot with Steve [Stephen Moyer] this year. Eric is very intrigued by Bill now.”
Well, since Sookie dumped each of them at the end of Season 4 it might make some sense. Now, that they’re both in the same kind of trouble, it seems the most logical next step.
They’ve already teamed up to to kill Nan Flanagan and her guards once she revealed she knew Sookie’s power. It seems like it’s going to be them standing together to face what comes next, and it appears that Denis O’Hare’s Russell Edgington’s will return for season 5, so you have to wonder if he will be part of the action. Will Russell work with or against them?
What do you think of this twosome coming together, I kind of like the idea, but I wonder where Sookie will be during all of this? And, what could be so “intriguing to Eric about Bill, we wonder? And, what will happen when Russell Edgington shows up again?

I’d rather Eric have a bromance with Lafayette…Bill and Eric seems sexy but…I don’t know it just seems off. I don’t see Bill realistically sleeping with another man

I totally think this is nothing but “hype” to get us talking. I think that Eric and Bill will just be allies, not a couple.

…. No doubt connected to another Eric, book, storyline which Bill will be doing once again in TB. They have cast the role of little Alex, which features alot later in the books when Eric and Sookie are in a relationship…. I’m sure Bill will have tha storyline too. Let’s hope that Bill is no longer king… Sookie comes to her senses.. And Eric gets back his backbone

So happy to hear that Eric will be “intrigued with Bill”. I hope this brings a more collaborative relationship between them. My interpretation of “bromance” is a closer partnership, but it doesn’t include sex. And I hope Bill remains King – he is so outstanding as a monarch. Eric is sheriff, and Bill is his ruler – as of now anyway.

Bill was a PUPPET KING! He did what he was told and he had to ask for permission from the authority and Nan. That does not an outstanding monarch make.

I do not believe Eric and Bill will be friends Eric wants Sookie why would he want Bill as a friend He will come after her the minute everything cool down with the AVL / Authority & Russell . I still have hope on this .

I still think that eric and bill will be frenamies, like they are in the books. in the books they have helped eachother out, but are still enemies. it whould be interesting if they did bring in little alex as part of the book storyline in book #10.

Common, I think it’s obvious that Alex thinks it’s hilarious how obssessed we all are with Bill and Eric and is pulling our leg. He is such a tease. I am looking forward to the scenes with AS and SM in S5.
