I agree Sanna. I too prefer the older Alex. Funny you should mention Stellan. One of my Swedish friends that I communicate with regularly on another site put together back-to-back of Alex from Paley arrival and Stellan from a prior event arrival. Both in all black, both had a couple of buttons undone, both standing in the same pose for the camera. As one poster said, it was like they had put Alex in a time machine. It was hilarious how similar they looked.
So, perhaps something for us both to look forward to ;)

I see your point explaining why Bill stacked Longshadow instead of Eric.
Do you have any theory about why Alan Ball felt necessary alter the plot again from the books, and show us Bill willing to sacrifice himself to save Sookie? is just to set up the cheating, the raping etc etc?

Yeah, in the show, they can’t say now, like they do in the book, that Bill would never tried tos her by sacrifice himself, because he has done that. They made Bill in the show better (IMO) for a reason. If they’re gonna do the Bill/Sookie/Eric thing like the books, then why change Bill for the better?? Why not leave him as he is.
Alan is a Bill fan, he has said that Bill is his favorite character.
Plus, Sam Trammel said recently that yeah, sure, Alan tries to be close to the books, BUT Bill/Sookie is a great element on the show and they play off each other to a great degree. Even he says that he doesn’t think Bill’s future will be like in the books

Zenobia: Theory? Hhhmm honestly I like the fact that AB changed some plots and made it different from the books. And the changes he made make better television, more drama. Because there are scenes from the book that does not translate well on screen. They’re still on the first book and I think it’s too early to say that AB really strayed from CH world. We’ll just have to find out when Season 2 comes out. As for making Bill “better”, I have no problem with that ‘coz I never see him as a bad person even from the books, it’s just that the things he did and the decisions he made were bad for Sookie. And for all the reasons you mentioned cheating, the raping etc etc. again it’s too early to say that those are not going to happen. I think it’ll be more interesting to see on how that will play out.
In addition, the change in LS staking brought Jessica’s character (which I like), more Eric and Pam scenes compared to the books and the Tribunal Scene was just fantastic. Though I have to say, I always wondered why didn’t Bill wake up when he felt that Sookie was in danger the first time?

After Sookie’s gran died. There was a scene when Sookie was being strangled while she sleeps (she even calls his name), Bill suddenly felt that and he woke up, looked at his clock and see it’s still daytime. He waited after dark, then he came zooming in to her room and it turns out he only dreamt about it.

Probably.. BUT he wasn’t sure that it was a dream, and his reaction when he finally got to her, waking her up frantically proves that.

Maybe he can only move duri9ng the day is she REALLY is in trouble. She wasn’t in any danger since he was dreaming. That’s what I chose to believe, LOL

My theory: the first time “it was just a dream” his love wasn’t as deep felt ‘pre-sex/feeding’ (in Bill’s defense their relationship is still developing) and he won’t risk his life, but the second time their really in love and he will risk his life.

he not going after her on the first time was probably due to a scripting inconsistence though i would like to think that Sookies blood made the difference (after he got her)

I agree with callonmebill. I think Bill cared for her at the time of the dream but was not in love with her yet. In episode 12 he was clearly in love with her and was willing to risk himself for her.
