I loved Release Me!
Can’t believe no ones voted for it yet… Other than me of course.
Ah well it’s early days…

I voted for the last episode. Lots o’Bill. Sweet sexy, dancing Bill. Maryann bit the dust, and Laffy has a bit of that sparkle back in his eyes.

I agree Dorathea! I enjoyed this season but felt that the Finale was everything I hoped for …The romance that surrounded Bill & Sookie’s date, the dancing, the proposal was just what I needed after this frenzied season!

It would be easier to vote for the ones I don’t like.

I liked “I will Rise” and “Timebomb” best just the same. They were both great in its own. “Timebomb” was full of action and fun, and “I will rise” was full of emotion, and I think it marked a turning point. We learnt so much about the characters. Some things were just there upfront and easy to pick up. But there were many subtles revelations regarding some characters. So if I have to choose between these two episodes: then I have to vote for “I will rise”.

I agree, the same two I voted for and the same reasons.

Wow, I Will Rise Up is a runaway favorite. That doesn’t surprise me. I felt it was this season’s watershed episode, like Cold Ground in Season 1. Still a lot of voting yet to be done.

Somehow I misread and only voted for one. Doggone! Wish I could get a second vote in.

Me too. In my excitement I clicked before I read. I would have cast my second vote for Beyond here lies nothin’.

I see I am not alone. My number two vote would probably have gone to “Beyond Here Lies Nothin.’” However, it’s a moot point. I’ll pay better attention next time. Dorothea, thanks for rooting for that second chance.

Don’t worry, you are not the only one!! The same happened to me. I was so eager to vote that I didn’t read that we could choose 2 episodes. Well my first choice was “I Will rise” and my second would have been “Timebomb”.

I tried to vote, but got a message that I had already voted, which I most definitely had NOT. (Response said I was voter #10 – nope!) Just thought I would let you know.

I voted for “Timebomb” and “I Will Rise Up” as my number 1. There were others that I liked A LOT but those were my favorite, lol.

I agree with the majority, ‘I will rise up’ was the best episode of TB ever not just this season. I mean come on, the iconic bullet sucking scene, the Sookie/Eric dream, Godric on the roof (and the music to that scene), Sookie/Jason scene, Nan, OMG so many good things about this episode. Timebomb was my other fav (Jason was hilarious, paintgun, genuis!)

definately the best episode, the music at the end WAS perfect

Guess I’m in a minority here….Hard Hearted Hannah and Beyond Here Lies Nothing. Sexy Bill playing the piano and singing, also being a bad boy……sexy Bill dancing and proposing and THE END OF MARY ANN!!!!!!!

Those are the two I voted for as well! I loved seeing the two sides of Bill

I voted for the first episode where Bill tells Sookie he loves her. Especially because of the scene that follows. (what can I say, to each his own)
I voted too for the last episode – it was near perfect!
I guess I’m out of sync with most of the voters.

I voted for ep’s 8 & 9 (9 being my favorite)

I am having trouble deciding. Of course all my choices are Bill related.
Nothing But the Blood _ Bill promising to atone and refusing to apologize for loving Sookie and then the love making
Release Me_ Bill bashes Lorena over the head with the tv
Beyond here Lies Nothing_ The dance and proposal
Ok I am going for #1 and #12 because for those few brief moments Bill and Sookie were happy.
[Reply]
I voted for “Nothing But the Blood”! Bill and Sookie’s ILY and hot lovemaking were my reasons why.

There was something very beautiful about the relationship between Godrik and Erik. I think that Godric died too quickly. There was something also beautiful about Godric in general. He was very noble and amazing.

I voted for I Will Rise Up. This is the best episode I’ve ever seen. I watched it twice and each time, it made me cry (not just teary eyes).
I agree with Quitzal : Godrick was a great vampire, almost sweet!

I voted for Scratches and Timebomb!

I understand all the votes for I will rise up, that was one of my choices, i can’t believe keep this party going doesn’t have more votes eric was so great in that episode (foils, blood and all)

I realize everyone watches True Blood for different reasons but I think it’s kind of crazy to vote for an episode because the character you prefer has more screentime. Just my opinion, though.
‘Timebomb’ and ‘I Will Rise Up’ were both well written. They also did the most character development wise–everyone who went to Dallas seemingly ‘gained a level’ or at least a layer to their character.
I kind of wished the season would have ended with Godric meeting the sun on that rooftop. I know they had to get back and deal with Maryann and all but the end of episode 9 just felt like the real end of season 2 for me, at least.

Well said. I totally agree. Both my father and I said, after episode 9 aired, “where do you go from here?” It was the absolute pinnacle of the season, and your comments were very poignant. I enjoyed reading them.

My favorite episode was of course Episode 1 “Nothing but the Blood” and Episode 7 “Release Me”. Stephen really did a great job of portraying a truly frustrated person/vampire. You could just feel his love for Sookie and his hatred for Lorena. I really enjoyed the flashback scenes from his past with Lorena, although it did leave me wondering where he was and what he had been doing from that time up to when he met Sookie. When Stephen is looking for something he has this head movement that I like, ie.when he was standing in the window, hears sookie scream and looks outside of the window and then at the table and in the episode after that where Lorena drags the boy in the door and bites him and Bill is looking for something to hit her with, which of course he slams the tv on her head. He does a movement that comes off as an animal looking for something or sniffing something to get a scent. He has done that in season one and it really works for giving the impression that vampires are truly to some degree animals.

For me, I like episodes where Sookie has several long, intense scenes.
#1 – Nothing But the Blood (premiere) – confronting Bill, the I love yous, and since I’m a guy the make up sex was ;)
#2 – I Will Rise Up – Godric’s good bye and the very naked dream
#3 – Beyond Here Lies Nothing – Sam was awesome in the finale, the dance was adorable, and I loved Sookie standing up to Maryann.
#4 – Timebomb – Sookie making it clear to Lorena who Bill prefers

True blood has made the top 3 finalists in breakthrough performance …
need to go to the emmy site at tv.com to vote on the final tally today!
My favs were I will rise up, timebomb, scratches, and nothing but the blood.
The finale is next, and all the rest were a blur with the “please release me” as my least fav because of the Sookie rape scene.

Episode 9 – “I Will Rise Up” was the best, in my opinion, because it showed what range Alexander Skersgard has as an actor. We saw him go from devious, to seductive and tender, to vulnerable, and grief-stricken. I don’t think there was a dry eyed viewer as Eric dropped to his knees and pleaded with Godric. I didn’t sleep for three days after that episode aired- all I did was watch. It- no- HE moved me beyond words.
