True Blood Set Design: Bill Compton’s Couch On Display At Paley Center

Ever wish you could sit on the actual couch that once was the centerpiece of Bill Compton’s living room? Well, thanks to Warner Bros., you now can at the unbelievable Television Out of the Box exhibit.

The couch from the Compton House, was part of the set design used on True Blood seasons 1-3, prior to it’s renovation when Bill became King and it is on display at the at the Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills.  The couch contains stains (look closely!) from the remains of the Vampire Queen of Louisiana, Sophie Anne Leclerq.

It would be a real treat to see Vampire Bill’s couch up close and personal.

Isn’t that the cage that Sophie Anne was kept in by Russell in season 3, in the background?

Nope, not the right color, nor it is big enough. Here it is: http://www.trueblood-online.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/08/ep07.18-400×222.jpg

Well, then they painted it, because the one in the episode is much darker.

Also, Talbot-in-a-jar, Marianne’s bull head, and the creepy doll wrapped in a blanket are in the case to the left. Fun!

I went to this exhibit in May & loved it! The couch is so comfortable and the stains are really evident. They even list it as QSA remains…lol. The cage is marked as being from the show and it is definitely big enough to fit inside. The display case also has some V vials, Evan Rachel Woods’ fangs, True Blood bottles, a scroll & Rev. Newlin’s pin.
