Thanks Shad, this was a fascinating interview. I loved learning about the tremendous amount of thought and feeling that goes into Jim’s wonderful performance as Hoyt. Hoyt is a completely lovable character, and his relationship with Jessica was one of my favorite elements of season 2. I so appreciate Jim Parrack’s giving us some insight into this great guy. Clearly, he is a pretty great guy himself.

What a great interview with Jim! I love his portrayal of Hoyt and have ever since Sookie heard his thoughts about Dawn and he was comparing her voice to “angels and parakeets.” Aw.

I look forward to seeing more of Hoyt’s journey in season 3 and also seeing the other projects Jim has been working on. It seems that TB is opening doors for a lot of our favorite actors, and that’s a very good thing.

Thanks Shad for that great interview with Jim. What a sweet, down to earth guy. he seems really focused on his career and puts alot of thought and energy into his work. I admire the fact that he is still taking acting lessons. He really does take his profession very seriously. I can’t wait to see what Alan ball has in store for Hoyt and Jessica in season 3.

What a great inteview! Jim seems like such a sweet, honest , concerned and thoughtful young man. I loved his characters innocence and vulnerability and Jim portrayed it beautifully. I thoroughly enjoyed him all Season. His entire storyline with DAW is so wonderful, funny and a breath of fresh air from Season One’s darkness. It added alot of lightness, tenderness and funny moments.

I cannot wait to see what is instore of our Hoyt in S3.

His wife Ciera is BEAUTIFUL ! They make a gorgeous couple!

Delightful interview Shad. Jim’s scenes in S2 were some of my favorites with both Deborah and Dale. Remarkable performances and I can’t wait to see what is in store for Hoyt and the women in his life. Ciera is beautiful and they look great on the red carpet.

What a lovely interview from a lovely man! Jim has made such a realistic positive impact on the show and on many of his new admirers. His onscreen chemistry with Deborah is clearly spot on and how great that she has given him these little words of advice that has helped him as have the other stars. He seems so appreciative of this opportunity and TB has opened the doors for him to shine on other projects. Looking forward to the rest of the interview and I wish him many years of success and happines with his beautiful wife. We love all our TB actors but he has formed a soft spot in many of our hearts!

Excellent interview, Shad. Jim is a delightful young man. Hoyt really blossomed in S2, and his story line with Jessica was beautifully written and acted by both parties. They are so good together … their scenes were pure and honest and spoke to the heart. Jim had two wonderful women to work with … Deborah and Dale. He is open to new experiences and shows an eagerness to learn and grow in his craft. His answers to your questions were well thought out, and spoken with conviction and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to see what S3 has in store for Hoyt and where it takes him.

Jim always comes across as a great guy … considerate, appreciative, and enthused to be part of the show. This interview further reinforces what I’ve already thought of him. From my first glimpse of Jim as Hoyt, I knew he was perfect for the role. Jim talks about his concern that the audience will have a harder time relating to his character because the character is being seen through the eye of a camera, and so we are relating to an image, not a flesh and blood person, an actor on stage. Well, I can only speak for myself, but I did relate to Hoyt, immediately. In the story, Sookie is able to hear his thoughts, and Hoyt’s are pure and good. Jim was able to bring that goodness and pureness of heart to life. It’s a gift that not all actors have.

Hoyt is one of my favorite characters on the show and I hope that Season 3 gives us many more Hoyt moments. Ciera is beautiful and you both looked wonderful at the SAG Awards.
