This is our selection of the top 5 WTF moments of True Blood episode 5.08 – Somebody I Used To Know.
What were your best WTF moments? Post about it in the comments.
In order of appearance:
Bill gives in to Salome
Showing allegiance to the cause goes without question and Bill is pressured to prove that loyalty. Salome presents a tasty treat, an innocent victim for feeding on however the woman is pleading for her life because she has a child. Thoughts of disbelief and screams of horror at the screen that sounded a lot like “WTF Bill!” as he ignored the flashback of being a parent himself and choosing to give into Salome and feast on the poor kidnapped woman. In the last moments of episode 5.08 we see Bill participating and contributing in the cause to have the newly reformed Vampire Law established. It will be interesting to see in the next episode exactly how these new turn of events will take place as we see not only Bill but all Vampires ‘Evolve’.
A vicious group of renegade Supe-Haters are out to kill as many Supes as possible. Having saved Hoyt Fortenberry they now give him the opportunity to kill the very thing that caused him so much grief. Jessica is Vamp-Napped and silver chained to the floor. The renegades give Hoyt a loaded gun sufficient enough to blast a hole through Jessica with one shot. As Hoyt is left alone with Jessica the opportunity to shoot her was very tempting and just enough for me to shake my head in disgust! “WTF HOYT!” I am sorry that Hoyt’s heart was broken and that Jessica does not love him any more but to hold her at gun point simply because her heart changed is in my opinion nothing more than a felony. Hoyt is not in my good books at the moment he better redeem himself in the next episode! Well he just might as he now is held at gun point…WTF!
Sam I am
The pressure to fix a dangerous situation and have her family back Luna is wanting out of the hospital bed and by Sam’s side fighting whoever is killing supernatural beings. This pressure leads onto a different situation whereby she shape-shifts into boyfriend Sam Merlotte, clearly without her consent. When Sam sees Luna as himself left me mesmerized and transfixed into a continuous WTF mutter. Later on we see Luna as Sam in pain and laying on Sam’s lap this scene was very cool but it concerns me in that we have seen this before in Season four with Sam’s younger brother. Come on Luna! Get stronger! We will have to wait for the next exciting episode to see what happens.
A Licence to Kill
Arlene will do anything to have her family back together and Lafayette is the key to having everything put right. A ceremonial gathering to clear and sanction the paranormal entity is led by medium Lafayette. However what was to be a mock ceremony turned bad real quick with the murdered woman appeared to Lafayette saying she will lift the curse if one of the men will kill the other. A petrified Patrick races out of the room and leaves me thinking WTF! as we all know that Terry is a big softy and it will take a lot for him to have to kill again. I look forward to next weeks episode to see where this story will lead on to. I am hoping for more of Lafayette being a medium in pretty clothes because he does look stunning.
Sookie sees a Ghost
Jason is set on finding his parents killer and the Faeries are the key to making this happen. Standing in a circle whereby the Fae are able to channel the energies of the past Sookie is able to connect with the Vampire that slaughtered her parents. Waolo is the name of the vampire and now he is appearing to Sookie in Ghost form taunting her that she will be next. This scene was scary as hell as whoever this vampire is has a taste for Fae blood and now has his sights set on Sookie. However, this vampire is no ordinary vampire and it led me to say ‘WTF is this thing?’ I guess I will have to wait for the next episode to find out.
