True Blood’s Not So Evil Baby Mikey Was Played By Twins

Did you know that baby Mikey, the baby that Arlene thought might be evil, was played by 17 month old twin boys?  He was played by Grant and Wyatt Ollivier and they were seen in Season 4 of True Blood. Oftentimes, Hollywood will use twins because of the restrictions on the time that children are permitted to be on camera. It makes it easier to use twins to allow for double the time.

When we saw Mikey everyone thought he was the cutest baby, and wondered how could he possibly be evil. It was good to find out that he wasn’t the evil child Arlene worried he would be.

In the article below, Grant and Wyatt’s mother, Ann Ollivier talks about how great the cast and crew are and how they do such a good job to make sure the kids are not exposed to anything they shouldn’t.  She says, “It’s kind of overkill, but they do protect the kids.

I knew that it was fairly common to use twins when babies or young children are being filmed. They sure found some cuties to play Mikey.

I knew that Mikey was played by twins. That is standard procedure with such young children. I’m happy to hear that it was such a positive experience for the entire family. Mikey was adorable. I’m so glad he was not an evil child as Arlene had imagined. Thanks, Lou, for the scans.
