Unlikely that Anna Camp’s Sarah Newlin Will Return to True Blood Season 6

steve and sarahI’ve always wanted to see Anna Camp return as Rev. Newlin’s wife on True Blood and although it looks like the fans would enjoy seeing her again too, based on the information from TVline below it sadly, probably won’t happen, at least in Season 6.

Question: Any chance Steve Newlin’s wife (played by your BFF Anna Camp) will make an appearance on True Blood this season? I kind of want to know what happened to her. —Pink
Ausiello: You and Ms. Camp both. “There’s a lot of unfinished business,” the Mindy Project/Vegas actress maintains, adding that Sarah Newlin “is probably pissed” that her husband is now an out-and-proud gay man and vampire, thus making a mockery of the Fellowship of the Sun. “She wants to come back and make her presence known.” Camp, who at this time is (sadly) not scheduled to appear in the HBO drama’s upcoming Season 6, suspects that “Sarah’s been holding down the fort at the Fellowship. Maybe she has a baby now. I wish Sarah had a baby! She’s very good with children.”

Anna Camp made the Sarah Newlin character so watchable. She just inhabited the reverend’s wife completely, I could believe she was real. I’m sorry we won’t be seeing her again.

I wish Ms. Camp all the luck in the world as she explores new roles.

Anna Camp made the perfect Mrs. Newlin. I’m sorry she won’t be returning to True Blood. I would love to have seen her reaction to the reverend’s transformation.

While she was amazing as Sarah Newlin, I believe I read that she also read for Sookie when the show was casting. Unfortunately, she made a mistake in saying that Steve was “an out and proud gay man”. When an interviewer asked Newlin about his love life, pre Russell, he used the pronoun “she” in saying there was someone special, even though he was talking about Jason. He was only out & proud among Russell & the Authority. I would love to see her come back. Who knows? Maybe she was his first meal…..
