A new film project is in development for CASM, the production company of Anna Paquin, Stephen Moyer, Mark Larkin and Cerise Hallam Larkin. The Civilianaire Boys’ Club, written and to be directed by Mark Larkin, is a short film comedy that will be shot in Los Angeles and tells the story of a robbery gone wrong, with 3 bungling criminals, think Laurel and Hardy meet Ricky Gervais in a Guy Ritchie Film.
The star of the film is Lennie James who we all know of course from The Walking Dead, Jericho, Hung, Line of Duty and films like Snatch, Colombiana, Sahara, The Next 3 Days.
The plan is to take the film to major film festivals world wide, and eventually in a not too distant future to create the full length feature version of it.
Mark Larkin explains about the costs of this project:
We still need funding, to pay for insurance, props, set build, locations, equipment, food (important one that – feeding people when they are not getting paid!), make up and hair, transport, editing, sound, music, picture finish, the list goes on and on. At our budget of $20k, it still means we are getting huge favours, lots of freebies, and mega discounts across the board. Every penny helps us get one step closer to getting our film made.
To fund Civilianaire Boys’ Club the producers have started a fundraiser on Indiegogo where you can pledge your support in return for some awesome perks. You could for example get a producers credit, attend a screening and meet the film makers, be in the film, meet Anna Paquin and Stephen Moyer or have Anna Paquin record you a voicemail message.
The fundraiser ends on November 14th and the producers aim to raise $20,000. Even if you are not able to buy a perk please help spread the word among your fellow Stephen/Anna/Truebie friends in support of independent film making.

Apart from the fact that the project was so obviously thought up and set up way before the butterfly effect set out for the east coast, it’s irrelevant.
