Lindsey Haun, Sookie’s cousin Hadley on True Blood, is launching a Kickstarter campaign for “NANOBLOOD,” a queer science fiction neo-noir short.
NanoBlood is the story of three young lovers and the bots that tore them apart. Lindsey Haun is requesting your support to help her direct her first short film, a sci-fi flick about a painter and his scientist wife who embarks on an experiment to replace her blood with robots––but when a mysterious lover comes between them the bots begin to reveal an agenda of their own…
Lindsey has assembled a crew that includes special effects veteran Bill Bryan, who made and operated the Stay Puft Marshmallow Man in Ghostbusters, and whose creature fabrication credits also include Army of Darkness, Men in Black, Species, Dreamcatcher and The Village. Haun has also tapped her composer father, Jimmy Haun, former guitarist for Yes, Air Supply, and Sheryl Crow, and an award-winning commercial jingle-writer (“Yahoo,” “Expedia,”

The all-or-nothing Kickstarter campaign will run for 30 days, from August 18 to September 17. Rewards for donations include original artwork, as well as a private dinner-theater performance of the film as a one-act play by Haun and the cast.
