In order of appearance:

Sookie vomits on Alcide’s shoes

What a way to ruin the mood. Poor Alcide thinks he gonna get lucky and all he gets is vomit in his shoes. WTF Sookie? Obviously she can’t hold her liquor. I have to admit after getting over my surprise it was really funny. Eric and Bill creeping in the doorway made me laugh out loud. I hope Sookie and Alcide eventually get together.

An Authority member released Russell

Sookie used her powers to read Doug’s mind. By doing so she was able to see that a female Authority member was involved in freeing Russell. Bill automatically assumed it was Nora. Of course that didn’t sit well with Eric. Nora freeing Russell does make sense because he is against mainstreaming. He could very well be Sanguinista. Russell could be very beneficial in the Sanguinista’s plan for an uprising. The question is how did they know where he was buried?

The fire monster

A fire monster! WTF? When Terry was in Iraq he and his platoon killed a group of innocent civilians. When Patrick, the platoon leader, discovers that one woman is still alive he orders Terry to kill her. Before she is shot she recites a curse that sends a fire monster after all those involved in killing the innocent Iraqi civilians. It seems the Ifrit, a supernatural creature in Arabic and Islamic cultures, is responsible for the unexplained fires that have killed the other members of Terry’s platoon.

Jesus is back

Lafayette is overwhelmed with the demon inside him. In a moment of desperation he asks Jesus to help him. Jesus shows up but not all of him. His head appears on Lafayette’s coffee table. Jesus tries to tell him something but his lips are sewn shut. Lafayette’s mother, Ruby Jean has the same vision while in her hospital bed. It seems like she can understand Jesus and says she will tell Lafayette. What happened to Jesus?

Sam and Luna

Who is out to get the shifters? Sam goes over to Luna’s to tell her Emery and Susanne had been killed. Luna asks Sam to leave and on his way across her yard a truck pulls up. Masked men in the back open fire striking Sam. Luna runs to help him and in the process gets shot. Thank goodness Emma was able to shift and escape unharmed. Not many people in Bon Temps know about shifters, so that leaves a very small group of suspects. In my opinion Marcus’s pack is behind this. Who else would want to kill Sam?

Good choices, Kelly. I would add Russell as a wizened, bloody shadow of his former self. Also, Jesus appearing to Ruby Jean, who seemed to understand his message, and hollered for Lafayette.

A WTF moment for me was the drained bodies with rats all over them, eating. How did they do that? Do they have professional actor rats and rat wranglers who sprinkle food over dummies, then release the rats, who are kept hungry? Soooo disgusting!

Loved when Sookie lost her cookies on Alcide’s shoes and Eric’s comment to Alcide was hilarious! Jesus’s head and sewn lips still creep me out! The scenes in the hospital when they were searching for Russell were really good. Kind of reminded me of the ghost hunter shows. I love the camaraderie developing between Bill and Eric. Each episode gets better and better!
