Episode Song Title Music Speculation:

Since we now know the title for the Season 4, Episode 8 is “Spellbound”. As is our practice, we like to speculate about what song will be chosen by True Blood’s Creator and Executive Producer, Allan Ball and his Music Supervisor, Gary Calamar.

For this episode, we think the song is pretty obvious. I’m betting on ACDC’s version.

ACDC’s Spellbound off the For Those About To Rock album.

The lyrics are below.

Blinded by a bright beam
Shattered by the windscreen
Stunned by the whiplash
I’m a victim of a bad crash
I can do nothing right
I never sleep at night
Can’t even start a fight
My feet have left the ground
Spinning round and round

OK, since our friend at Bookies – True Blood tells us that they think Siouxsie and the Banshees “Spellbound”, is the one, we are adding it also as a possibility.

Spellbound lyrics by Siouxsie and the Banshee

From the cradle bars
comes a beckoning voice
it sends you spinning
you have no choice……

You hear laughter
cracking through the walls
it sends you spinning
you have no choice

Following the footsteps
of a rag doll dance
we are entranced
Spellbound

And don’t forget
when your elders forget
to say their prayers
take them by the legs
and throw them down the stairs

When you think
your toys have gone beserk
it’s an illusion
you cannot shirk
you hear laughter
cracking through the walls
it sends you spinning
you have no choice

Following the footsteps
of a rag doll dance
we are entranced
Spellbound
